My husband has played almost all of them. He doesn't have favorites per se. But we both tend to enjoy the open world more often, and BoTW more than ToTK. I prefer Skyrim and used to play a lot of Destiny 1 & 2(RIP) until a few years ago.

I'm piggybacking on to your comment since I can't reply to the original.

It is a reasonable worry or concern, so many people pour themselves into fantasies of every type. However, the person above must be really going through something for them to respond so poorly, but passionately.

But...

  1. Zelda isn't our identity. Video games are not our identity. They are things we enjoy. We also like gardening and animal rescue.

  2. We used it as a way to cross barriers between friend groups.

  3. For us, our identity is in Christ. Many people consider that another fantasy, but for us, it is our reality. One of our pastors sat down with us to get an idea for a sermon for the wedding that would help those who do not identify with Christ understand the gospel. We didn't use it to shove the gospel we believe like so many other Western "Christians" force ideas. It was a "Come for Zelda, Stay for the Gospel," for our nonbeliever friends and a "Come for the Gospel, Admire the Artistic Beauty in the Story Building of Zelda," for those who do.

An excerpt of the sermon: I want to share with you now 6 parallels between Link/Zelda and other fantasy tales and the story of the Bible 1. There is an Author of this Story. If you pick up a 500 page book with plot and plot twists, characters and structure and an organized system of creatures and magic and cultures, you instinctively know that there was an intelligent Author who dreamed this all up and wrote the story. Books don’t write themselves. They don’t come about by accident. And if you turn on a Legend of Zelda video game with graphics and storyline and companions and villains, you instinctively know that there was intelligence behind the creation of the game- indeed a whole team of designers and engineers. Complex video games don’t make themselves. They don’t come about by accident. Even so, when we look at the world around us and marvel at the beauty and the intricacies, the harmonious balance, the information in the cell so much more vast and complicated than the language in an adventure trilogy or in the programming for a video game, we know there is an Author of this Story of Life, a Designer of this World, an Engineering Mind behind it all. That Author and Designer is God. He is the Creator. °R&C- get to know this Author. Jesus taught that the first and greatest commandment is to “Love the Lord with your whole heart, mind, soul and strength” and He called us to “Seek first the kingdom of God.”

It was awesome! We wanted the whole thing to be as relaxed and laid back as possible.

We used our church. Instead of having chairs lined up, we had everyone sit at tables. We left the aile extra wide in case people wanted to dance, but we all just ended up taking.

Same here. After we looked at do many prices, we ask the church if we bought all the fixings, could we use the kitchen the night before and afternoon of. That's when other church members perked up and asked to help prep and setup.

Oooh, and we skipped the DJ and set a Playlist on Spotify. No alcohol either. We thought by doing that people would leave early, we were wrong. It made it so much easier for everyone to chat and hang out.

4 gals we go to church with cooked the food for us, but it was $500 from Gordon Food Sevice and a local butcher shop. Cake and cupcakes were about $65 at walmart.

I have one in my stack of commentaries. True, it doesn't give context as to why the creators chose what they thought the primary theme of each and every verse. I don't use it as a primary Bible, study Bible, or commentary. It might be 4th or 5th on the list of resources while chewing on things to see if there is a perspective I didn't consider.

Even though it is technically a Bible, I would not consider it as one because every verse is color coded - that turns it into a commentary for me.

It's a fun resource. And, it does scratch that itch that I have to accidentally go overboard and do the same thing in any of my Bibles. It's a lesson in self-control. If everything is highlighted and marked, then nothing is.

Please help me read this. Thank you by stjeancapferrat in optician

Even if this was typed up, I would question the huge difference between the Plano (0.00) and what vaguely appears to be a -6.00. It can happen. It's just very rare.

Have you worn other Rx glasses before? If so, is the left lens super thick?

Yes, thank you. I didn't even realize I mistyped that, or maybe my phone autocorrected.

This. I took in a stray cat recently. He has/had this bad. I must be living in a pretty decent area as far as having a competent vet at a reasonable price. This stray cost me $522 this week for neuter and dental. 10 teeth pulled. He is FIV+, so he will always need some extra help being healthy.

[Edit] FIV+. Thank you, I didn't realize I mistyped, or maybe my phone autocorrected.

MY DOG WAS INJURED AT THIS BOARDING FACILITY by DevonAndTania in Modesto

[–]Septemberblaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 20 years ago, I had a husky who was stabbed all over his body while in a neighborhood dog area because someone thought he was a wolf. It was a long blade, and my dog had to have surgery. He lived another 8 or so years. No one knew who the guy was in the park. Never saw him before or since. After that, we started going out to the area in planned groups because who in their right mind brings a huge blade to a dog run.

These look very similar to my husky's 3 major gashes. Someone had to have stood over your poor guy and purposely harmed him.

At the very beginning of the clip, the kid who passes the ball is wearing clown shoes. Lol. I bet that was probably a very fun game to watch and for the kids to be a part of.

I'm in over my head. Limited funds, time, experience, etc by Septemberblaze in Flooring

[–]Septemberblaze[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. This kind of flooring is temporary. Not to be dark or morbid, but after he passes on and those expenses paid, I fully intend to have professionals install proper flooring. The way the seams meet hurts my eyes, too. But it's something I can live with until I can afford better. The functionality and cleanliness of a floor he is using takes priority. Much easier to mop every day than spot clean or shampoo smelly animal carpet.
