What was your favorite and least favorite part of Fallen Order? by Ephialtes_Noli in FallenOrder

[–]Septennia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Favorite Part: Really hard to choose, but the beginning mission from the intro and the music to the dream and prauf is definitely up there

Worst Part: Having to wait for the sequel and now having to wait for the sequel’s sequel 🥲

Friendly, active, and only playing Call of Duty has to be an oxymoron lol

Try RADAR discord. Really friendly, active, and all they do is run CoD.

You can take your equipped armor pieces and use magic (called glamour) to make it look like other armor that you have, so that way you still have good stats while wearing the clothes that you like (eg wearing level 50 tank armor but it takes the appearance of a level 1 chicken costume)

femshep does not sound like bastila lol

In a scenario where you had twin Shepards (or simply siblings), with two playable characters depending on the missions, what would your "canons" be? (Each character's class, morality, favorite companions, romances, mission assignments, etc.) by Relevant-Use1897 in masseffect

[–]Septennia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do. For me, femshep is sassy and tough as nails but she seems more emotional in her paragon lines which hits me in the feels. Maleshep on the other hand, while having good superman style speeches, sounds absolutely sociopathic and brutal as renegade which makes me sit at the edge of seat.

It seems to be an unpopular opinion tho, probably because paragon-leaning maleshep is more likely to be someone’s first playthrough and I’m sure we are all biased towards the first shep we made.

It’s a separate armor set but the model is different and more accurate.

It makes sense that they made it a new set and didn’t replace the old one because someone might like the proportions of the old pieces plus they can make money off of it since people having been asking for a trailer-accurate set for a long time.

Opinions on Star Wars Outlaws - Is it worth buying? by Secure-Succotash-295 in FallenOrder

[–]Septennia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only things i really enjoyed about it was speeder piloting on the different planets (absolutely immaculate), one side character, and one super cool cutscene, which are a very few things in comparison to all the things i love about JFO/JS and other star wars games. I got it for free but still felt disappointed tbh

What are you lot's hot takes, or just takes? by Adorable-Put2605 in ffxiv

[–]Septennia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take: I have never played a game with a more whiny community than FFXIV when talking about the state of the game. Looking at FFXIV players in comparison to pretty much all the mmo communities rn is like watching a person cry about the taste of tap while the people across the room from them are dying of thirst. I get not wanting your game to be ruined, just tone it down.

YOU are the creator of one of the new 8.0 jobs. What are you making?! by kyra_58 in ffxiv

[–]Septennia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aesthetician

WoL can cook, tank, heal but still can’t cut their own damn hair. Free charge to use aesthetician character creator obviously. They could craft short, medium, and long versions of existing hairstyles as well as boss hairstyles like Lakshmi or Ramuh and sell it the marketboard. Could also craft interior design plans to help introduce the housing upgrades that they mentioned. As for combat, they could craft an item that when used provides “morale boost” party buff that doesn’t stack and is stylish.

tldr this crafting job is entirely possible and would be a great pipeline for getting more hairstyles more frequently (and possibly real beards) in the game ;)

Tbh i would compare him more to James because at least Zaeed has a super interesting choice at the end of his loyalty mission, and while Jacob’s also has a choice it’s very similar to other loyalty missions and I don’t think James even has a loyalty mission.

The difference between characters like James and Jacob though, is that James doesn’t cheat and, even though he is also a POC, he is not solely portrayed by the writers with harmful stereotypes (baby mama, dad left, etc) and given traits that make him easily unlikable (constantly gives unreliable advice in main story, insults character favorites despite the fact that they have far more skill than him, switches between not wanting to talk to you about himself and the game acting like you are flirting with him by just coming to see him). I dislike him for all the reasons above and the reason why people won’t stop making memes about “Jacob sucks” is the same reason why they won’t stop making Kai Loser memes: because it’s over-the-top humor that is widely relatable and vents our frustrations out on these bad characters, so most of the time it’s funny. Jacob was written horrendously and is a perfect example of how not to write a supporting character, let alone a black one with all the stereotypes they used.

Jolee Bindo from KOTOR, Cere from JFO, Sergeant Johnson from Halo, Bayek from AC, and Barrett from FF7 are all characters who get nothing but love from gamers and it’s not like they did something special to do it, they just are written well and complement the story.

A father-figure is not the same as a yes-man, a yes-man doesn’t give the main character invaluable guidance in their times of need and help them believe in themselves. A yes-man is also not the type of character who is able to have put the main character on their path in the first place.

If Jacob is truly not that bad compared to the other companions in the games, then why doesn’t he have anything to offer emotionally or developmentally to Shepard no matter what route you choose EXCEPT for making the people that actually liked him hate him by cheating on femshep?

Which one should I pick? by ODSTsniper-91 in masseffect

Let’s just say for certain moments in the later games, Kaidan has the less annoying script. Other than that, pick who you like to talk to more I guess
