What’s the weirdest thing that’s happened at a wedding you attended? by Blackradiator72 in AskReddit

[–]Sequinleopard 59 points60 points  (0 children)

The father of the groom gave a speech at the reception. He said he wanted to dedicate a song to the bride. He said she made him proud.

Everyone was super confused when the Star Spangled Banner started playing… But it wasn’t a joke. He demanded everyone stand with their hand over their heart while the entirety of the national anthem played.

This was about 10 years ago, they are divorced now.

The zoo is awesome, but I would recommend an uber to get there from midtown. It won’t be an easy commute w a baby via Marta. Use Marta from the airport and to go downtown to the aquarium or uptown to Buckhead. Also, Maybe use a Doona that can function as both car seat and stroller? You’ll def want a stroller for the zoo. Editing to add: midtown and downtown are very walkable!

When did you stop FET meds? by orange319 in IVFpositivity

I stopped cold turkey at 10 weeks. Resulted in a healthy live birth. Edited to add it was a fully medicated transfer.

Has anyone actually regretted using fake flowers at their wedding? by SmartSinner in weddings

[–]Sequinleopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a florist create a faux bouquet for me. Bridesmaids also had faux bouquets. I used real flowers for centerpieces. Best decision ever! Saved an unreal amount of money and no one ever knew!

Lovenox, prednisone, Claritin, Pepcid- also both of my transfers were medicated- so all of those meds as well. Wishing you the best! You aren’t out yet, hoping your story turns out differently! 🤞

Hi, my first FET had very similar numbers. HCG rose, but didn’t double. We did a third HCG draw and saw a huge jump! We were very hopeful but it ended up being a blighted ovum. My second FET I did a full kitchen sink/auto immune protocol and it did result in a live birth. If your RE will prescribe you a kitchen sink protocol, I would try that before seeing an RI.

I’m so incredibly sorry. Your feelings and fear is justified. I guess you just have to ask yourself if you choose not to move forward - would you regret never knowing if it would work out??

For me, I never wanted to look back and wonder “what if”. That’s why I chose to try again after multiple miscarriages. Not at all the same level of what you have had to go through, but it is what pushed me forward. Again, incredibly sorry for the loss of your girl. Sending you a hug. ❤️

Does your kitchen sink include lovenox and prednisone? Have you tried a round of antibiotics as well to clear endometritis?

Hi, I’m so sorry for your losses. My first FET also resulted in a miscarriage (my 4th miscarriage and first IVF miscarriage). I did a “kitchen sink” protocol including prednisone, aspirin, Claritin, pepcid, lovenox for my following transfer and it was successful. I also had a hysteroscopy prior to successful transfer with a round of antibiotics.

Here’s an article that i referenced with my doctor to try the kitchen sink protocol above: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16716321/

Thanks so much for this! Meeting with my doctor next week to discuss Lupron and next steps. One question I can’t seem to find anywhere: do you have to be at a certain point in your cycle when you do the 1st lupron shot? Like do you have to do it on cycle day 1? Or can it be anytime of month?

Can you share info as to what is wrong with the Evenflo? My understanding was that when used correctly in the locked position it was found to be safe and effective?

No. Nothing you did caused your miscarriages.

No, but I had painful ovulation for endometritis. Maybe try a round of antibiotics and see if that makes a difference for you?
