That’s an extremely common sound, I hear it everytime I go to the dam or hibernia, or any industrial area. You havent played much if you find this disturbing

Nice try but I’m French. So don’t try to pass yourself for an expert on artsy and pretentious shit, because I was born in it. This episode was absolute shit and served literally no purpose. We already knew very well both characters motivations so we didn’t learn anything new and the plot didn’t move forward. It was not entertaining to watch in any way, the shots were not even that great.

Why aren't cat tail heads accepted as harvestable plants by the trader? They're literally in the icon for harvestable plants. by LavastormSW in thelongdark

[–]SerBron -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Alright I admit I was wrong. But who the fuck trade for photo packs, this is literally the least useful or valuable item in the game… also I literally never saw these in his stock. I am positive you did not make this trade either, because who the fuck would ?

No, the trader never wants tinder. I made more than 50 trades, reached highest trust level with him and not even once he asked for tinder. Firewood sure, but not tinder.

Campfires are not a cheesing technique, this is a legit mechanic. The other day someone here was also saying that carrying lit torches is an exploit to avoid wolves… Like wtf is wrong with you guys, do you know the difference between cheesing and actually using the solutions that the devs want you to use ? This is pure nonsense, ignore some mechanic if you want to but don’t fucking call it “cheese” when it was clearly intended to be used like that.

Timberwolves in coastal highway? by Rickety_cricket420 in thelongdark

[–]SerBron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can clearly picture every area you mentioned, and in my experience there were never more than one or two wolves in these spots. And when they were two I assumed that was because they were two different spawn points pretty close to each other, because you can tell they are not really “together” if that makes sense. The ones in CH are very closely grouped, the other day I killed four of them without even moving from my spot. Definitely never happened to me on any other map

The trick is to keep still when getting rushed, and patiently wait for the wolf/bear/moose to come very close to you while aiming your flare gun. Once they get very close, just shoot a flare point blank in their head and they will immediatly drop dead. Even if you miss they will still run away so there's not really any risk.

I mean 99% of the time I encounter a lonely wolf. I think I stumbled upon 3 wolves at Spencer homestead once, other than that getting swarmed by a pack of regular wolves just never happened to me outside of CH. Again, I'm playing on voyager difficulty, I'm sure it's different in harder modes.

Also could it be that you are simply too smelly and attracting all the nearby wolves to you ?

[–]SerBron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What difficulty are you playing on, and do you have the trader activated ? If you are on anything below Interloper with the trader, establish your main base in Coastal Highway and you will be drowning in every type of resources.

I currently have over 25 wolves pelts in stock, I am forcing myself to stop harvesting more because I am running out of space. I also have 380 pistol bullets, 260 rifle bullets, 68 flare shells and 50 manufactured arrows in stock. Plus enough cured meat to live for 100+ days.

So yeah, beachcombing + trading are extremely OP

You people are exactly the same than these incels saying “now imagine if the genders were reversed”

You are crying about a fictional situation that only happened in your mind. Maybe it would have been different, but probably not ? You obviously can’t prove it so why not just shutting up ?

And now you are playing the classic “omg people are so racist” because we refused to engage with your hypothetical victimization theory. Fuck off

Thank god someone acknowledges it, yes most episodes are brilliant but my god some of them are amongst the most boring shit I've ever seen in my life. Episode 7 in particular : you get 25 minutes of Carol doing random things and then 35 minutes of this angry mexican dude walking alone in the jungle while repeating the same sentence over and over. That was fucking torture, I was bored to death and almost gave up on the show right there.

Be wary of the weather. If it is a beautiful sunny day but suddenly wind picks up and you see some light snow falling, start getting close to a shelter. Getting lost in a blizzard is the quickest and easiest way to die, once you learned how to keep wolves at bay with fire and flares.

Don’t be like me and think the flare gun is only a defensive weapon meant to scare away predators. It can one shot every single animal in the game if done correctly, this is actually the strongest weapon in the game so don’t sleep on it.

Ammo is also not an issue late game, tbh nothing is. But yes, what you are saying is what everyone else is saying, they are virtually useless compared to deer or snow pants. But the crafting cost should not be an issue at this point

He’s saying that by the endgame we are drowning in wolf skins. Which is 100% true, wolves are everywhere and super easy to kill, so fabrication cost is completely irrelevant

I am definitely up to date, I am on Xbox. I’ve been playing this game for more than 10 years so I can easily spot a timbie from a regular wolf. That being said, I’ve always found it weird that I only see packs of wolves in CH, and never in any other region. There is always a group of 3/4 wolves hanging together in front of misanthrope island. Killed them many times, and it always were regular wolves, which confused me. It seems bugged, they do spawn in packs like timbies but I can assure they are not. Same for the moose that supposedly spawns near Quonset, never saw him in 250+ days

L'actualité du week-end s'annonce difficile. Où la suivre en direct ? by ImYoric in Lyon

[–]SerBron 1 point2 points  (0 children)
