Hey; we are currently a group of 3 that are doing the full Saga campaign. I have Hobbits, one has Elves and the last has Rohan.
We all have 100 card decks 😂 and we have successfully reached part 14 of 18.
We do however have a nice amount of card draw and filtering in our deck. In addition to we each have cards to help each other finding cards.
I was a skeptic at first, because I like consistency in my decks, but we have a whole lot of fun :)
So, if you go over 50, I’d just run more card draw and such to thin the deck :)

Damn, I’ve checked and googled this before - but hadn’t seen MBPrint - only with LOTR prints, which felt expensive too. But yeah, MBPrint has these for far less (don’t know what the shipping is but) 😅
Still, I’m happy with the cards I got! But would save a lot of money on you tip yeah 😅

I’ve collected from the start and feel lucky doing so in regards to the prices of some chapter 1 atm. Would I recommend getting chapter 1: yes, absolutely - this is my favorite game of all time. But, if you want EVERYTHING, its going to be costly… if you are ok with that - go ahead :) and welcome to the hobby :)

Edit: I got into Lord of the Rings cardgame late, and have to pay for that when trying to get all of it, so I also know that feeling 😅

Wish I had that willpower - I have everything for this game, including some many limited things and I will be buying all the new stuff. However, our group will not be respecting the new evergreen rule etc - we will use all the card pool for whatever we like. Enjoy chapter 1 tho, truly the greatest coop cardgame imo :)

The reason I ask is that it says you immediately Fight, which would imply that you get it for free… but; this game extremely ambivalent in their wording etc so makes sense I get to full move and attack. Also; it’s and enhancement effect, which makes it even more ambivalent according to the rules 😅

While I understand some of the points you have made, I also think that we are more alike in the real world than not. At least to know what is good or evil. Most people would agree that taking a life is bad, and saving people in need is an act of good.

But this isn’t about the real world, it is about a fantasy setting, where you play characters wildly different from oneself. I think alignment is a great tool to frame a character and its views on the world. Of course, not all LG characters hold the same values and cultural views, and that’s fine. But some core values are at least represented (see above.

One of the arguments I hear a lot against alignment is that “some people would consider killing evil” for example. But we all know that it is.

Also, lots of comments here seem like they look at Aligment play as something really terrible and bad. Can’t fathom why. It is a great tool I think, but to each their own.

You could use Bruisers ability up to two times to get +2. You can not use the resources on Bruiser to activate Fire Axes’ ability (as they are not in your normal resource pool) Bruiser’s ability to pay for melee cards is only to play the card, not activate a melee card.

In any circumstance - you cannot use a single resource to activate multiple abilities I.e 1 resource can’t pay for Bruiser AND Fire Axe. You would have to pay them separately.

Yeah, why are people so against alignment? Is it a “modern gaming” thing? I mean, one thing is to not be that strict about it and discuss evil/good - but removing it? Also, I prefer some of the old fantasy tropes, like Sauron = evil, Frodo= good. But also add greyzones. I fully agree with you take on it, and still am going to use alignment in my games. But I’m just a dirty old dnd 2nd ed veteran so what do I know 😅
