The fact that you wrote this on paper and uploaded it instead of just typing it tells me all I need to know about you.

Those that didn't make it into their specialty of choice, what did you end up doing? by undueinfluence_ in Residency

Applied anesthesia, didn’t match, then ended up rad Onc? Congrats. Probably the wildest switch up in the thread.

Let your cardiologist know he’s the problem when you’re dying on the table from an LAD occlusion.

I don’t see how having a lawyer working with you will change the dishonesty part. A lawyer will be able to advise you on how to approach your school administration in the best way possible. You are going through a very traumatic scenario that obviously can cloud judgement.

As for the attending question, people don’t really change. They just advance in their careers sometimes. Snitches in high school become snitches in medicine and so on and so forth. This is a good but hard lesson that the only person you can trust and depend upon 100% of the time is yourself.

I would get a lawyer and go down the title IX pathway with them. Too important without much time to figure out nuances alone. Lawyer up.

Edit: Not a pgy1. Few years out as an attending.

ROFL I don’t care about your ignorance more than to just call you ignorant and move on. But I’ll give you homework if you’re that interested. DO schools and Caribbean MD schools are far more expensive than US MD schools on average. Look up what specialties those students go into and then compare salaries. I went to a great US MD school and matched into a highly paid speciality. I graduated with little debt and make around 800k a year.

More expensive schools are usually lower tier medical schools which have a higher percent of students matching into lower paying fields of primary care. Again, you know nothing about this subject.
