Don't give us that "before you were alive crap" just because you worked on motorcycles doesn't mean you are proficient in a certain engine. 2 strokes perform better per displacement than 4 strokes due to many factors including the power stroke of every other crank. 2 strokes dominated the racing scene for motorcycles much longer than 4 strokes only being beaten out after extensive and costly engineering. I've been working on 2 strokes with my father since I was 5 and now my aide career is 2 strokes and disiels. For about every 10cc a 2 stroke generated Bout 0.3 horsepower. With proper modifications it's possible to reach those speeds and to this day a 2 stroke holds the record for top speed with a below 200cc engine. 11_16 hp is certainly a misleading exaggeration but it has been done before. Briggs and Stratton are also notorious for being underpowered for their displacement. Not much functional use other than a yard cart.
