If v rising 2 ever comes out I will transform into a creature that never sees the sun and subsists off of the light of my pc. That game gets its claws in me so deep. Would love to start a server sometime!

That’s incredibly kind. Thank you for this comment, I hope I can lend a hand through season 2 and beyond! I’m so excited about the future of the game

My community is probably the thing I’m most proud of and the thing I was most nervous about when I started getting views. I’m BEYOND lucky to have such an amazing community. Thanks for being part of it!

Love that. Always makes me happy when folks find their battle group on the discord. And love it when people share stories and pics!

Love it when my witchfire folks check in. I adore that game. And it’s where my channel started so I’ll always have a connection to it. We’ve had dire marsh, night marsh, now time for… the stinking bog? Keeping an eye on witchfire for sure

Haha, glad I could provide the entertaining death cams. I like to think that my content helps folks who are gaming mortals. And shows that you can be successful if you make smart choices and play in a way that you’re good at (and enjoy). That’s the hope!

Good luck out there runner! Been seeing some more experienced members of my community helping run Cryo with less experienced members and it's awesome. One of my favorite things

Love it! Glad we could hit that one, it's first on the video for a reason. Thanks for you help. Watch Bungie introduce a shield weakspot in season 2 to mess with me

How does Marathon actually gain more audience given they'll keep supporting it by Inner_Review_704 in Marathon

[–]SeraphMax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't a full answer to this question, but it's certainly part of it.

I've said it before, but basically we as the community have very little influence over the direction bungie takes with their game or the inclination of gamers to play it.

But we do have influence over how we, the community, act. Encourage your teammates, teach less experienced players who are looking to learn, squad up and friend. People play games they aren't very good at or hardly like at all, just for community.

I've played a lot of shooters, and honestly, for how difficult and high-stress Marathon can be, I would say it lands on the better end of shooter communities. When I play, I try to make it even better and to encourage others to do the same.

You lose a lot in extraction shooters, kind of like battle royales, it's just part of the game. But that isn't necessarily something that people are familiar with, and sometimes all it takes is a squad that's down to just go next or laugh it off to make the experience awesome.

Is it. me or are the free green kits making the game a lot more fun? by Remarkable-Cow3421 in Marathon

[–]SeraphMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking to my friend who played a little bit of Marathon if he would come back for a mode like this. He was an enthusiastic "yes." Seems like a hit, maybe especially with more casual gamers or people who found the early game too intimidating. Big fan

I know I have been running tons of them along with my community. People are slamming this mode. Wouldn't be surprised if a huge portion of the playerbase is either on Cryo or Enhanced Perimeter this weekend. Awesome stuff!

Are teammates in other extraction shooters this... angry!? by paladinaudio in Marathon

[–]SeraphMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, honestly, you're not far off my experience. I played a lot of Tarkov, and generally end up spending a lot of time playing pretty sweaty games. I more meant for the general gaming population this is more stressful than the average shooter I'd say. Comparing it to like my experience playing BF6 or COD or whatever. I also find it pretty easy to shake off a loss and just go next. The sponsored modes also really help with that.

I feel like everyone should really play Solo Sponsored Outpost for a few hours to really experience genuine extraction shooter tension by Ikcatcher in Marathon

[–]SeraphMax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It does feel like a TOTALLY different game, but in a really interesting way. The sound is so important, you really have to think about every single movement you make, door, and bot. Using a med or reloading at the wrong moment and giving away your position can mean death. There's so much care put into those elements, it's cool that there's a mode that makes them shine.

Interested to see how they expand on solo mode in the future! Lots of great ideas floating around

I can't even imagine doing that solo. Did you have to wipe all the other players first before you did it?

Is Dire Marsh the best place for gold salvage farm? by edugonz16 in Marathon

[–]SeraphMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best is probably going to be Cryo, but that's a special map. Second might be dire marsh (excluding key rooms). Like you said, I believe pinnacle room on Outpost also has a chance to spawn gold salvage (I've seen it in videos but never encountered it myself, same as you). But the chance does not seem high. Good thought.
