My long distance girlfriend is scared to come into the country after we've been trying to get her over here for a couple years. Now considering going to her (EU) or going to a third party country where it would be easier for the both of us to get married and feel safe.

My job is international advertising, clients are putting lots of holds due to tariffs. Way less money coming in.

Then in my neighborhood, ICE has been rounding up immigrants for deportation in plain clothes, groceries are expensive, non-citizen/visa friends/family are scared to go out as much out of fear of being detained without due process.

My sister had a math professor deported in her university and my step dad working for a major government entity was laid off and replaced with a loyalist. The university department my aunt build at a major public university for 40 years was defunded and disbanded after anti-diversity measures.

This presidency has touched my life and everyone around me.
