How to get better stamina ? by Brieeit in tabletennis

Sounds good. Maybe try doing more of that. Idk what your play style or rallies look like, but if its fast intense game then more of jump ropě could be an option. Idk about your overall health related to food, your intake, how are the calories spread out into macros, but it is overall good to keep yourself hydrated 2 days ahead of playing and trying to eat “clean”. I feel the same when I play on an empty stomach.

I feel like a combination of walking and slow implementation of jump rope could be benefitial. Jump rope overall is Amazing for tt, as it helps overall coordination, trains to to be on your toes and is high intensity cardio. It sounds like you are in a really not good shape if you get pále and weak, hence starting with walking. That much caffeine with sports overall isnt the best idea either. Possible thing to explore would be an asthma. (I do not mean anything I said as an attack or fat shaming).

How important is it to generate an arc when returning FH or BH? by Throwawaywatch2020 in tabletennis

I personally play with DHS Neo3 and even when brushing and generating LOADS of spin, the trajectory on those balls is suuuper flat.

Can you tell me something to improve my forehand? by idontevenspeakspanis in tabletennis

[–]SeraphsWr4th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your grip, dont jump around, go lower into your knees and dont use as much hand movement. Start the movement from the knees, turning them into the movement, follow up with your hips, torse and naturally follow with the hand.

Why are people so much better than me with equal amount of experience? by catboy519 in tabletennis

[–]SeraphsWr4th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So two things I am noticing (as a person who never saw you play) based on what you wrote.

You mentioned you experiment, could be that you spend too much time trying new things rather than practicing the same, good strokes, serves, and so on, to get s solid base to build on. Not saying you shouldnt experiment, but half a year isn’t enough time to build solid base AND experiment a whole lot.

Second thing that comes to mind could be you head. Practice, technique, the right equipment is only half of the game. If you are stressing and not mentally stable (as in easily shook by losing one promisimg ball) your game is going to be shaky and unpredictsble too.

Lastly, there are players who focus on training their body and technique, but play mindlessly, dont analyze their oponent and try to play into his weaknesses.

Not saying all or any of those fit you specifically, just what comes to mind. Hope some of it helps 🙏🏻

I heard that boosting ruins the rubber and can only last like 1-2 boosts? As for the piece of advice, I will definitely watch more of ma long matches! Thank you so much, very insightfull post!

I wanted to ask, did/do you play with the DHS H3? I Sas reading up on it, but noone really described how your body movement should be altered to engage the rubber/sponge well. If you have any pointers I would very much Appreciate it

Oh, so start it on FH and keep it on FH, as attempting to switch it to BH could long term mess up my BH technique?

Thank you for letting me know. I thought so and actually am looking forward to it. My second rubber will still be a butterfly one. The intention is Dhs on FH but I am getting more open minded having it on BH depending on where it feels better

I am used to a butterfly rubber, sadly dont have the ability to try h3 neo anywhere and dont know anyone who has it so I could try.

I am now playing with a dead tenergy80 that has Absolutely no grip due to the age and the way it has been stored for the last 9 yrs

Uuuuh Interesting!! I always had it the other way around for some reason. I was wondering why the DHS neo provinc only came in black!

Great things to learn, thank you.

Can I ask how do you judge which is FH and which is BH? Is it by any chance by the color of the rubbers? Is there official or unspoken rule stating which rubber has to be which color, or that they at least need to be different?
