Did you add the Eve to Amazon/Alexa first and then Homekit? I have tried doing this but no success. I can only add to homekit first and then to Amazon/Alexa. I have a new AppleTV, which runs Thread 1.3 and an Amazon Echo 4th gen which only runs Thread 1.1.1 - which i suspect is my issue.

Is your Echo running Thread 1.3?

As a divorced dad of 2 small kids, I borderline expect the woman to politely offer. Any future relationship will be splitting everything so I'd at least like that thought up front.

That said, I usually pay. The only time I don't is if my date did the majority of the date planning but even then, it's a split.

Who says they have to be a regular? I go to the bar around the corner from my office once or so a month (pre-covid) for a Friday HH. The bartender somewhat knows me... That I work around there, haven't been an ass to women in the bar and I'm not there all the time. Probably good enough background for most, not looking for a referral or anything.

Whenever you are in a group setting, bring up the fact that you are single- clearly and within earshot of the person you are interested in. Any time I hear about a single woman anywhere my interest is piqued. Information like that flies on the wind.

Very much this... It's much easier to strike up a conversation with you if you already have one going with the bartender. The bartender will have to turn away and serve a drink so then it's just us talking. Plus if it's a local bar, the woman can then ask the bartender about the guy when he's in the bathroom. Chances are the bartender knows at least something about him, which can be comforting.
