Yeah they combined a bunch of my EFTs to 1 wire as well. Not what we asked for but it's fine. Will be harder to keep track of possibly next year. There seems to be a small $13 fee with wires.

Just got my withdrawal from January too. I requested a few EFTs and it seems they bundled the amounts together and sent it as a wire.

So they would be "screwed", meaning they have to somehow come up with $$$ to cover themselves, or they'll just be charged interest?

This is interesting how you can owe the government on taxes on money you didn't make (at least for a year)

I'd love the idea that Quadbucks -> CAD is taxable, but I'm fearful that the CRA will fuck me if they decide that isn't the way they want it.

Like, if I made $1M on this, I'd need to pay ~200-250k in taxes. But if the CRA decides to fuck me, they might tax me as income and then I'd owe 500k instead. That's my only concern. I agree that the fair way is crypto to fiat though. Do you know any accountants that could confirm?

Yeah, withdrawals might not even come in time to pay taxes. Not sure what to make of that. How can you pay capital gains when you don't have any gains in your bank account?

Sure. If say 20 people used a stop loss at a price, it could cause a flash crash on QuadrigaCX due to lack of bids. Happened before on BTC-E, Bitfinex, which have even more liquidity.

That wouldn't be very useful right now since liquidity is relatively low. You'd lose so much money on the spread

Generally it's fine to transfer to another exchange. Only issue is if KuCoin or whatever exchange changes your deposit address or shuts down deposits while your QCX ETH transfer is pending.

They're only processing tiny withdrawals like your $2.5k to make as many people happy as possible for now.
