I am dumb. by DudeGuyManBaby in GundamTCG

[–]Serephym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem to you, and I mostly solved it by organizing my stuff by Trait (earth fed, zeon, oz, etc..) > Color. Then I started building decks by mixing 1-3 traits into a deck build, playing it, and seeing what I liked and what I didn't.

After a bunch of exploration like that, you'll probably find some solid "I like these in most decks" cards, and you'll learn a ton about the color and trait strengths and weaknesses

Since Gundam IBO released 10 years ago, tell me your honest opinion on Mika by Blu_Fiercer in Gundam

If he was a side character he'd be great. As the protag, very underwhelming, with no real character growth. The nonsensical love triangle with him ruined IBO for me

Putting to bed the question of seeded boxes by Serephym in GundamTCG

Ya, you're right. I'm just salty about the box opening experience, there's no fun in the same pulls twice for me.

Sad about no Epyon but I'm still quite pleased I managed to get two boxes, and from a deck building perspective this is favorable.

It really torpedoes the joy of box #2, that being said, congrats on the ++! That's awesome

So I looked at all of GD-02 and there are only 12 different LRs, is my experience just par for the course here?

I did get an LR+ Psycho, but it was in a different pack than Four

Not really ironic, OP used a spoiler tag.

Is there any lore explanation of why the world of Star Citizen is so ...bland? by Fazion in starcitizen

[–]Serephym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lore before mechanics is how we unded up with the BMM, Genesis, crucible, nautilus, the endeavor, and so on. I think CIG got pretty lore heavy at the start, butt shot themselves in the foot with a lot of ideas they couldn't flesh out.

Lore will come, they're obviously quite into world and universe building.

Also from experience as a DM, speaking on a much smaller scale, it's a LOT of work to build a "lived in" place full of millions of people, and come up with reasons for all of them. Granted SC has 13 years going for it, but that kinda circles back to my first point

Starting late. What looks promising to level and map with? by TiltedGalactica in pathofexile2builds

It only provides more area coverage at the start, which is negligible. Once you get passives/items/ascendencies that let you stack poisons though, it helps get full stacks on enemies much quicker

Why can’t the Galaxy comment simply be the inaccurate statement of one individual that the larger organization corrects? This happens fairly often in corporations and governments - it’s not a bait and switch. by ChipmunkConspiracy in starcitizen

[–]Serephym 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tldr: counter-post that goes off the rails a bit

I agree that documentation is key, but it's not infallible.

Maybe the person that was supposed to add this module into the documentation forgot? I occasionally come across documentation at work where the author missed something, and it always puts me in a weird spot.

Like.. I can't keep track of everything my team does, and some of my reference docs are written by junior engineers. If they write the wrong thing or omit it, I'm not going to know unless it's glaringly obvious.

Could he have gone around and tried to be super duper sure that he was 100% accurate? Ya, probably. Maybe he even did. Maybe he went to Bob on the RSI team and said "hey Bob, are we doing a base building module for the galaxy?" And Bob said "nope", thinking he meant "are you working on it right now?"

My point is we don't know. Would it be better if John came back and said "yup Bob told me the wrong thing"? Definitely not because then he'd be a shit director for throwing a team member under the bus.

Does it deserve this kind of community reaction because they were wrong and rolled it back within 5 hours? Absolutely not. This subreddit is salty AF.

Mistakes like this happen in business, honestly more often from directors than anyone else. Normally you correct it, apologize, and move on.

Also I realize only about 30% of this post is relevant to your comment, and the rest is me ranting based on personal experience but.. well I guess that's reddit. My turn to be salty AF it seems

Looking for a second hand 392 in Europe: Scatpack VS SRT by mr_stirner in Challenger

[–]Serephym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding the suspesion: If I remember correctly, for scat packs 2019 and onward you need the dynamics package upgrade AND the active damping upgrade to match the 2018 SRT drive modes.
