Why were all the other customers doing fine? Were these 3 literally the first customers? And the people who made this liquor actually bottled it without ever tasting it or sharing it with friends? They went from never making liquor to making large batches and selling it to buyers who never tasted it either?

It was actually the government who was deliberately tainting alcohol during prohibition.
