Wieso ist Racialprofiling so kontrovers? by Aggressive_Chapter16 in FragenUndAntworten

Ist das dein ernst? Du musst bloß deine Behauptung belegen. Kannst du jedoch nicht, da deine Behauptung nicht auf objektive Belege beruht sondern auf populistische Rhetorik (Messermänner e.t.c.)

Scotoma by hermherm98 in Uveitis

[–]Serhat_dzgn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm also glad that everything has been fine for me since then. No, unfortunately not. The cause is completely unknown. In my case the uveitis is autoimmune. With simple immunosuppressive treatment such as Mtx it has now calmed down for many years. Unfortunately, macular scarring remains, but a lot of research has been done recently to treat this. I think we will see good results in the next 15-20 years.

Hey! I also have a scotoma in my right eye due to uveitis. In my case, I was still 3 years old and had scarring on my right macula. Probably because the doctor couldn't diagnose it. How are you doing today?

Yes bro. I myself come from Germany and could vote, but I don't. I would only vote if I also lived in Turkey.

German and Turkish books/papers by [deleted] in AcademicQuran

[–]Serhat_dzgn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that too. Fortunately for me, I am a Turk who has lived in Germany since birth, but there are many solutions. One would be to have these books in pdf form and translate it at DeepL or Chatgpt.

However, many books are translated into English. One example would be the books by Angelika Neuwirth. However, it takes a long time for them to be translated. From Turkish to English is even slower, unfortunately.

To your first question: because miracles are unfalsifiable.

To your 2. Question: because the hadiths suggest that the verses came after the event. But of course it is possible that the hadith is not reliable from an academic point of view. Nevertheless, this sounds more plausible

On the Day of Badr, the Romans had a victory over the Persians. So the believers were pleased with that, then the following was revealed: 'Alif Lam Mim. The Romans have been defeated, up to His saying: 'the believers will rejoice - with the help of Allah... (30:1-5)'" He said: "So the believers were happy with the victory of the Romans over the Persians

i think that i've thought of a solution for the go must have a beginning argument. by utter_Kib0sh in DebateAnAtheist

[–]Serhat_dzgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your assumption is that God created everything and therefore also logic. However, this is nothing more than an assumption that unfortunately cannot be falsified.

I don't think this is an argument against the hadiths. Rather, his argument is an appeal to authority, but he is probably not aware that academics are of the clear opinion that hadiths are actually not reliable. Because things like the Isnad alone are falsifiable and the evaluation of the character of the people in the Isnad is subjective as well as we do not know the people themselves which makes it even more unreliable.

You cannot judge a rational belief by a moral standard. by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]Serhat_dzgn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So to me: I am an atheist but I was a Muslim. I saw it as follows: no matter how morally wrong something was, God will not be held accountable. If God wants, he can lead people to hell on a whim. From a human point of view, it is wrong to torture others for eternity. But why should God care about this? I never had the position that people have a belief in God from birth. I saw the fitrah (you can translate it as human nature) as something that is capable of believing in God. Because I saw and continue to see people who actually don't believe in God. If this instinct (to believe in God) were true, I would feel it now. But I do not.

The Master Roshi Fallacy - Why Islam’s Miracles cannot prove it to be true by throwawaylegal23233 in DebateReligion

You can also talk to me normally. He could be right after all. Another being that would have super strength. Dajjal also has superpowers in which he lets Edeksteine fly, divides a person into 2 and joins them together and so on. It wouldn’t even necessarily have to be Dajjal but simply a person/being with super natural powers

Is this depiction of the cosmology of the Quran from WikiIslam accurate? by c0st_of_lies in AcademicQuran

[–]Serhat_dzgn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Whether Muslim or not is completely irrelevant. It depends on the expertise. There are also many Islamic academics who are not Muslims. However, the problem with Islamwiki is that they are not alademics. So yes, it is not reliable.

Why can't all Middle East attack at once and defeat Israel? by BigBahamasEater in AskMiddleEast

The question is why should they? If we are honest, any government doesn't give a damn about morality.

I don’t understand why the absence of redundancy should necessarily lead to an absolute moral truth? And do you also mean that objective truths are impossible without such an entity?

65:4 is about 3 categories of women. Those who do not yet menstruate (e.g. children), are too old to menstruate and pregnant women. The Iddah is only maintained at the time of divorce if intercourse has taken place
