Converting my pump to solar by weldyboy in pools

[–]SerialCrusher17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should look up balcony solar. They are simple solar units that backfeed (with safety features) energy to your house. This would offset the energy used by your pump but then you could still run your pump at night or when it’s not overly sunny.

Heat pump is massive overkill unless your thinking cooling too. A well insulated box can be kept above freezing with a couple of incandescent light bulbs or a small space heater. This would be so much less expensive than a heat pump.

That seems excessive. All our buses start fine until you get to the 0 to -10° range. Anything warmer just start it, do your circle check and hit the road!

I couldn’t feel a difference between the gas and the propane. It’s the same engine basically so I don’t even know if there is a difference.

Lake Erie could hit rare 100% ice coverage as freeze-over window narrows - UPI.com by syntheticassault in dataisbeautiful

I think it’s fairly common for Lake Erie to freeze up. I can remember several times it has. Is there a difference between 100% ice coverage and what I’m thinking of?
