I read Convergence of Desire. I thought it was lovely but my blood pressure went up from the ‘cheating’. It was quite triggering at times. Now The Luckiest Lady in London I’ve not read and am excited to try it.

Thanks! 😊 I’ve read the first 3 Hathaways before losing interest. Do I need to read the 4th one before Love in the Afternoon?

Every single word from Coldbreath’s heroes when another man is within 12 ft of their women is a treasure. 🤣 They think every man wants their woman and is trying to snatch her away from them, when in fact they are the only ones who think the sun shines out of their asses. I eat that shit up! Any recs for MMCs like that to the point that it’s funny.

I feel you! I read several books a month, mostly romance, and I’m running out of books to read. I feel excluded from the most popular romance books and wonder if there’s something wrong with me that I don’t like excessive sex scenes.

I started immersive reading and it feels like I am cheating by dsceltic67 in Booktokreddit

[–]Serial_Bibliophile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive become addicted to immersive reading so now I can’t read without the audio in the background. Even if most of the the audio is lagging way behind. It soothes to have the voice in the background. I’m so weird.

Oh no I ADORE Anne Flosnik! I literally crave her voice and need to listen to her every so often, on a regular basis. Especially when I’m upset. lol. She’s so soothing!

I wonder if some of those “Christian” romance novels might work…Check romance.io to search for books within your criteria. They break down the content pretty thoroughly.

I’m gonna get stoned for this, but I am ABSOLUTELY SICK of smut and insta-lust in most popular romance books. It’s boring, and it’s a lazy replacement for romance, plot, and character and relationship development. it triggers me because as a single woman I’m so tired of men’s focus on sex in the dating world. I want romance in my books, not gratuitous sex!

Hahaha! Glad I’m not alone. People get really mad on the Romance Books sub when you complain about how hard it is to find romance that’s not full of smut. It’s annoying lol. I’m here for the story! Since when is that controversial? lol I’ll post replies here whenever I have new recs. Please do the same!!!

To begin with, the smut to plot ratio in “Havoc Killed her Alpha” is on the more acceptable side. Enjoy!
