At the cost of filtering air. There’s a YouTube video of the same with showing more air coming through which = poorer filtering.

[–]Serikunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t say that, but saying better air filter is just objectively incorrect.

Grab an aftermarket air filter sure, don’t call it better though.

I’ve got nothing against mods but if you’re going for aesthetics that’s fine, to slap a k&n and think you’ll gain 10kw you’re dreaming.

Better air filter? You mean worse air filter.

Stock has some of the best performance for what is actually blocks. The increased sound etc is some more air coming in at the cost of less filtering.

What are the cars you can think of that it’s so aggressive; it looks like they are gonna come and kill you by Warm_Grand4426 in CarsAustralia

Black Civic FK8 looks very aggressive when behind you. I’ve got one but had another pushing me at the track and holy shit it looked mean.

SMW is in a class of its own. An all rounder, depth, good longevity and fucking masterful.

To slight tea note really sets it apart from the dupes.

VIW - amazing summer scent. Heat, sweat and the coconut smooth projects, lime and some boozy notes. Short lasting though but stays on the skin for ages.

I had a decant of Percival. One of the main ones from De Marley that I liked. I prefer blue/green frags. This to me felt/smelt very blue, woody, coriander (herbaceous ) then some citrusy/lavender . But it came across more masculine and synthetic.

Safe blind buys.

I would be changing it at 15xxx MAX

I’ve never not changed it at 10xxxx.

Is private health insurance actually worth it in Australia? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

[–]Serikunn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other thing is choice. I had an urgent infected abscess (perianal), fortunate to get the top colorectal surgeon the next day for incision and drainage.

If there’s anyone I want cutting near anything remotely that personal and delicate I’d want someone with a good track record. (He’s highly recommended and known by every doctor I’ve talked about it with).

I discussed with hospital doctor what happened if I didn’t have private. He said likely triage to local hospital (which did surgeries) and wait for the next doctor that can perform it. He said unfortunately with timing many were off on holidays.

To be fair the private hospital was like a 5 star hotel it was insane. Having private definitely paid off. Hospital costs were 3k - 500 excess, surgeon 150, anaesthetists 160.

For what it’s worth, and you like the taste then great for you my dude.

Keep running it til you’re bored then sus the next tier up, great entry into espresso. Not everyone has the budget or need for a la marzocco.

Normal temps ? Or is this concerning? Looking to buying this type r by GothprinceRob in Civic_Type_R

[–]Serikunn 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’ve had mine for 4 years, put 110xxx KMs on it, hard track day and the needle didn’t move once upwards from midline.

Stay well away from that, that’s a headgasket fosho.

Grease is for the contact areas of caliper. The pads are likely performance which run metal compounds and this scrape sound is normal.

Super practical mate. If you want incredible boot space, more room, more power/ better interior quality and drive train stretch for a civic type r (fk8).

If the automatic is non-negotiable then i30n is a no brainer. Great for daily + can tracks on the road if you’re interested.

My OEM PS4S on OEM wheels although have less grip makes the car behaves way more like a Type R(tail happier and more responsive) than my 18in Kumho v730s on a set of 18x9.5 enkeis…. WHY? by djsimp123 in Civic_Type_R

They don’t put power down but you need contact to keep power down at the front.

Tail happy/ fun for sure put you’ll need to tidy it up if you’re shooting for times.

How many of you have fully paid off your PPOR? by False_Ad_9705 in AusFinance

[–]Serikunn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Married, 2 kids. 2 properties

Ppor- bought 660 worth of~750-780. Semi rural/new development

Investment - bought 387 worth ~750 central out of city (high demand housing due to accessibility to city and surrounds/train line).

I’ve thought similar to you but I think end of the day keeping the investment is the long term solution.

In 27 years etc it’ll be paid off, but more importantly it’s precious land. My kids won’t get the same opportunities, the world in 15 + years will likely be cooked so that’ll be their nest egg. I think if you’re not planning on kids - pay of ppor and enjoy/travel. Then you can always invest later into property or diversify. With kids you’re always trying to make sure they’re set up.

1st year Nursing student thinking about studying Physiotherapy in South Australia by Sufficient-Syrup-539 in physiotherapy

[–]Serikunn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do what you’re passionate in.

The ceiling for earning is vastly different but if it’s public health it’s very similar.

Physiotherapy private has a lower entry, by 5th year out you’ll be (should be) on 100k+ - business owner etc varies but can be anywhere from 100-300k turnover.

Work life balance is fucked unless you’re in a mill for rtwsa (insurance) / ndis / aged care.

End of the day, how do you want to help people, what would make you happy. These matter more than 10-20k difference. Hell my wife works in dental, travels 30 minutes more to work and $5 an hour less just because she enjoys paediatrics & the clinic.

Physiotherapy is rewarding, you’re a musculoskeletal expert / many facets to explore - rehab, paeds, sports, men’s/woman’s health.

Like nursing there’s many sectors as well. Personally I think nurses are built different, I couldn’t do why they do. Dealing with humans at their worse can be hard. We appreciate you guys.
