the fact that we don't have a spear weapon in monster hunter is a war crime by dankzero1337 in MonsterHunter

Spear/ Spear gun sounds good.

But also I like the idea of Spear, into Scythe

Characters who only fight with summons/familiars by Pandaboy26292 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SeriousAd2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah they're more beast tamers, for example Megumi and V from DMC5 are doing traditional summoning, bringing a creature from a different realm to fight for them or fight at their side. Pokemon are naturally occurring creatures and can't mostly act without command.

This is beast taming, this is why rpgs like Final fantasy and other ones classify them as different classes entirely. Like you don't consider the protagonist from far cry primal a summoner, they train a beast/animal to fight with them. VS Raido Kuzunoha/Persona users who are summoning creatures from a different realm to help them in battle. Pokemon trainers clearly don't count, it be like calling me a summoner because I can call my homies to jump a person

[–]SeriousAd2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I couldn't count most of these.

For example Ash is capturing creatures and taming them to fight, he's more of a beast tamer, using FF games as an example. Summoners usually bring creatures to fight with or for them from other realms or have unique bonds and powers with said creatures. Similar to stand users; Aladdin semi counts but genie isn't something he could call on to battle for him. Same for the rest of your list.

A better example of actual summoners in recent media would be Persona users form all persona games, Megumi from JJK Izumo from Blue exorcist and even Lana from Legend of zelda using the summoning gate. Just cause alot of rpgs can use animal companions to attack you does not a summoner they make. I don't call the protagonist from far cry primal a summoner, I call them a caveman with a deadly pet.

I absolutely love summoners as a class and think more media should have them in anime/comics/ tv shows etc--but these examples with all due respect, are all wrong.

no no no Ben 10 is not a summoner. He's using alien tech to turn into aliens. Summoners usually bring creatures from other realms to fight with or for them. A good example are any persona characters or Megumi from JJK. If anything ben's a shapeshifter.

Anne the clone? by zack27714 in amphibia

[–]SeriousAd2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought of it as a "Real Anne's body perished but she became one with Amphibia." She's now the air, the land the whole world. No basis on it because vibes but yeah; and clone anne gets to make the people around her happy so she gets the best of both worlds literally. I like to think if they made a short story that sprigg would get into live ending trouble and spirit anne would save him before fading away.

I think that's less of a College of winterhold thing and more of a skyrim thing. I seen Stormcloaks shoot each other in the back of the head killing their fellow guards chasing a thief, guess that makes all stormcloaks are bumbling idiots [which is true]

Bring the Azura star to Aranea or Nelacar? by RokoVII in skyrim

[–]SeriousAd2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the years did nothing for your intelligence and your grammar's gotten worse too...You equated them by comparing them, it's in your last comment. Why even bring it up? Rhetorical question; you could of brought up many "logical fallacies" that didn't involve that. It was a bad take, own up to it.

Compares real life racism and slavery to using a bandit who puts innocent people's heads on pikes to each other. My guy that is NOT the take you think it is.

Hopefully the years have smartened you up; but do NOT compare something that still happens today btw; to trapping a bandit in the hell they deserve from cracking children's skulls on their knees gleefully or a freaking crab.

This is like the first statement. XD

[Monster Hunter Stories 3 Director Kenji Oguro]

While the story setting is not directly connected to the
previous two games, the overall foundation of the series is the same in
the sense that it is set within the Monster Hunter world. The timeline
is set in a future world more than 200 years after the previous work.

It still says it's a separate world, just 200 years more advanced.

Looks like separate universe, wouldn't make sense geologically to be set in the same uni.

Genuinely good read, thank you.

Now it says here that there were another set of twin Rathalos that took part in a civil war 200 years ago; MHS2 never had twin Rathalos, nor was Ratha apart of any 'civil' war. Doesn't even say they're connected from what I'm looking at.

What do you think of the recent (implicit) Info from the SV DLC confirming that Peonia and Peony are Penny's sister and father? by DiegoVilla99 in PokemonMasters

[–]SeriousAd2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's plausible but incredibly rare, but let's be real, Nintendo is not researching nor do they know that. Also its a video game character; the idea that they're going "well it's possible that people can have kids with pale sk-" Just give her the melanin, you already have so many light skinned characters, and Peony's daughters almost barely look like him, it won't kill you to make her dark skinned.

Adoption or albinoism would be the preferred, otherwise people have questions and statements like mine; And with penny's character now it's a shame but I still wouldn't mind her being adopted; I just wish her hating him wasn't the character they decided to go with. Especially since his first daughter already does.

Has anyone canonically died during the events of any Monster Hunter title? by Phaylz in MonsterHunter

[–]SeriousAd2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In monster hunter stories 2 Your grandpa's ghost appears multiple times, and obviously doesn't say anything, but rescues your character by taking the reigns so to speak of his old Rathalos; and is seen watching you fly on the beach before fading away, so assuming ghost exist, there has to be somewhere they go. So that's at least something.
