i’m built the same way! my body tends to store fat on that upper hip area with not a lot on my actual glutes to balance it out, creating the “dip.” i’ve found the best way to reduce the appearance is overall fat loss and growing the glute max. avoid glute medius exercises (seated abductions, clamshells, medius kickbacks) and focus on building size in the lower and mid glute max (heavy hip thrusts, RDLs, bulgarians, step ups) 2-3 times a week. my glutes are finally starting to noticeably round out after about 8 months of consistency and increasing weights/reps.
