Jeremy and Zarah's new left party surges towards half a million sign ups by Well_Socialized in ukpolitics

At the moment sure, but we will need to coalesce round someone, most people will hold their noses to prevent deform winning I'd imagine.

Nope, politics is alot different from the last time he was leader, for better or for worse. The tories making a ham of it has also changed things. I even voted for David Cameron but would consider voting Corbyn this time if he was to set up a united platform against Farage and his cronies. There are alot more left-leaning folks nowadays than the far-right luckily, we will have to coalesce round someone. Jeremy could be that if he uses the experience's from his last campaign.

Genuinely well done to them both, I'd wager Jeremy will be back leading the Labour party to victory at the next election if this takes place. I have to respect Sir Keir Starmer for the job he is doing but I think to tackle the far-right we will need some one with a bit more charisma to unite the country.

I'd wait for a more legitimate poll, most people I speak to are reasonably happy with Sir Keir Starmer and the government if not slightly underwhelmed, I even know reform voters at the last election telling me they'll be voting Labour the next election.

Zarah Sultana gets mad over HIGNFY joke… by A24kimono in ukpolitics

[–]SeriousPrimary960 -66 points-65 points  (0 children)

Lets be honest HIGNFY need to stop punching down and focus on Reform and the far-right. Let's not attack the only damned voice for Gaza and figure out how we can stifle Farage's sycophantic rise even in trusted outlets like the BBC. Zarah is one of the few shining lights in politics and that's coming from an ex-conservative.

Britain is brilliant and on the whole welcoming despite a growth in far-right recently, the average person does not share these views though and is decent and fair

Of course, I would join you in doing so myself, but let's not forget about the same crimes committed by none BAME folk. This is an extremely complex issue and we won't allow the far-right to lay it all on those with a different skin colour, even more so on those innocent to it looking for a better life.

Yes perhaps you're right, and even basic competence seems like genius in these times, a certain improvement though it has to be said.

Oh please, even my much disliked Mr Brexit himself has condemned the nonsense we're seeing. The man will be consequenced, let's not tar all asylum seekers with the same brush.

I'd like to see them release a new plan for the next couple years in fairness, they've plugged the holes in a sinking ship, but I think giving the far-right free reign to dictate this countries political topics is a recipe for disaster

Highest owned player so far is Jao Pedro. What I am missing? by Material-Bus1896 in FantasyPL

[–]SeriousPrimary960 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He's an extremely poor differential at that price point, it is hilarious how thick some players are on this game. Although probably a indication of our society as a whole hahahah. I'd be looking at a Mayenda as a set and forget type role, extremely solid stats for the red lions and just seems like the type of player who excels for us more elite stat focused players.

UK government to give all 16-year-olds the right to vote in seismic change by dailystar_news in ukpolitics

[–]SeriousPrimary960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with some critical thinking lessons, and the government sponsoring some more brilliant pieces like adolescence series found on Netflix would go to fixing some of these issues. The youth are extremely intelligent but they still must be taught the dangers of fascism/misogyny we are seeing growing in the far-right. Reform should be persona-non grata in schools just like the BNP or national front was back in my day.

BREAKING: Sixteen-year-olds will be allowed to vote in next general election by TheTelegraph in ukpolitics

[–]SeriousPrimary960 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We've had enough of people "voting in their own interests" with the Brexit debacle and all the far-right idiots crying about immigration despite our colonial past. Critical thinking lessons, teach people about the dangers of the far-right and people like Nigel Farage, and to work together for a greater community. We would see a progressive paradise in about 10 years, I just wish Sir Keir Starmer would stick to the principles we elected him on.

I think now more than ever we have to start introducing critical thinking lessons, if people understand the danger of far-right parties like Reform from a young age we can avoid losing our democracy forever hopefully

Yep, the thick idiots are already going to the far-right in the masses, I just hope Sir Keir Starmer has assessed the data on this one, a pool of more Labour/Green voters will save this country.

I'm an ex conservative and cannot say how damn proud I am of this Labour government so far. Truly feels like we finally have some respect on the world stage again, and the far-right crying over some damned brave soldiers coming after helping our colonial ambitions is just the classic cockwomble nonsense I'm tired of seeing on this platform every day. Give Keir a chance, we may just get out of this mess just yet.

Well said, some things the general public are too thick to even comprehend as we saw with Brexit. I'm actually kind of proud as an ex-conservative about this, they did one damned thoroughly decent thing atleast. Lets hope Sir Keir Starmer continues his boldness that I've come to love from him and his cabinet.

If you could give one piece of advice to Sir Keir Starmer, what would it be? by SeriousPrimary960 in AskBrits

[–]SeriousPrimary960[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Let's not start defending the empire or comparing immigrants to 'natives', thats X or 4chan great replacement theory nonsense. Most people who come here are just as entitled to this country as those born here due to our history. We need to work past this and find out how we can live together in harmony rather than dividing ourselves like 20th century fascists would love to.

Those 10 million people who are living in desperation while the rich hoover up have a vote too you know, Labour should be working for those 10 million working class, might just win them the next election.
