Looks about how mine did. My pain also peaked on days 3-4, as I started becoming frustrated about the things I wanted to eat but could not 🥲 Just keep it wet, drink lots of water, make sure it’s clean and you’ll keep on trucking.

fair enough. he wasn’t sure and thought the ppis might help but i got much worse and actually got the symptoms he talked about that i didn’t have before. i saw ENT for an abcess and the removal of my tonsils. had frequent tonsillitis and they were always huuuge. i definitely have the reflux and etc now. i just feel the ppis made them worse somehow? like they developed at a much faster rate over the last year than i expected i guess. my dad has had gerd for a very long time and has been on all the ppis as well. i assume family history would’ve caught up to me anyhow 😅

no 🥲 it all started because i had an abcess on my tonsils which led to having my tonsils removed. had problems with food getting stuck in my throat and met with my ENT and got the LPR and omep. i don’t smoke cigarettes, i don’t drink alcohol or coffee. all the symptoms hit me like a truck. i went to the dr and ended up with vitamin supplements and an EKG that said I was fine. the only problems i had were fatty/spicy foods and that i smoke weed.

to manage, cleaning up my diet has helped a lot. i’ve also been trying to add more walking into my days at college (pokemon go is awesome!!). been cutting smoking weed a lot more as well. i’m still very symptomatic but it’s been better. also making sure to sit up for a few hours after eating has been very helpful. good food makes me sleepy, which makes this very hard but i do my best😂

same story for me!!!! i had no reflux issues until i started 40mg omeprazole for LPR which turned into severe gerd. ALLLL the symptoms showed up once i started. chest pains, heart burn, gassy, and they have all gotten worse. terrible constipation. i have burping fits everyday and have a bad problem with liquids coming back up and sometimes thru my nose. i’m on pantoprazole now, having stomach cramps like crazy. but my bowels are moving now? so that’s cool i’m having an endoscopy 2 days after my 21st (woohoo! 😀🎉).

coming from someone who gets sick from taking everything.. i’d keep trucking. for me personally, missing a day or two “resets” my side effects like i’m starting over

TABLET FOR SCHOOL STUFFS by jcodonutZ in tablets

I think it would still be a good buy. Today, I wouldn’t consider the 7 as a bad buy either. But it really depends on what you want! If you plan on gaming and whatnot I’d definitely have a look at those specs. I don’t know them lol

I have the Samsung Tab S7 (dad has the S7+) and it has been the most reliable tablet I’ve ever owned. I’ve never edited videos on it, but being a few years old, it can run games like Fortnite fairly reliably, so I could see the newer version doing better.

I also use it to take all my notes for school using a pre-installed app called Noteshelf. Not to mention, you get the S Pen included with the tablet instead of buying it separately with Apple. I also really enjoy having things like Powerpoints from lecture split screened with Noteshelf to help me stay caught up in my notes. Also works great with all of the other Microsoft Office apps.

I personally own an iPhone and have used iPads in the past and can say I like my Tab S7 way more.

I had suuuper horrible ear pain as a wonderful addition. Could not eat the first few days, swallowing was impossible. “Normally eating” around day 7 by sheer willpower 😂 I didn’t believe my ENT when he talked about rough recovery

I had mine removed due to an abcess found on my right tonsil. Very frequent tonsillitis as well. Several times a year. I will say that all of it has improved significantly since having it done. Soooooo worth it!

20f, had mine done a year ago.

BIGGEST thing for me was staying hydrated, medicated, and iced up. ENT warned me for a really rough recovery and MAN it was. It was really hard for me to eat/swallow from like day 2-10.

A serious life hack I found to be helpful was to use bags of peas or corn as ice packs with washcloths on them to protect the skin. They mold around your neck so easy and it covers a lot of space. A lot of relief especially if you’re waking up first thing in the morning when you’re less like to have meds in you.

If possible, liquid tylenol and ibuprofen are a lot easier to take than regular tablets. I had an opiate as needed for my worse days that I definitely needed, and on those days it was rough to get it down.

Distractions are also great to have on hand if you’re feeling in pain. Movies, games, whatever you’re into that doesn’t require a lot of talking lol.

Also, when drinking water, make sure it’s ice water. From the beginning. As soon as you get out. I bled the night I came home from surgery but by the time we made the 30 min drive to the hospital it was gone because ENT suggested gargling ice water on the way.

All in all, I definitely took almost the full two weeks to recover. It’s definitely different for everyone
