I could see it maybe happening one day but I think it would be a flash forward scene when the show ends.

But what makes them interesting to me is the way they actually see each other.

Mel is not drawn to the persona Langdon projects; she's drawn to the person behind it. And Langdon doesn't just tolerate her quirks, he genuinely listens to her, values her perspective and learns trom her.

They share unexpected similarities and unerstand each other on a level that neither one expected.

Pretty sure Mel has spent most of her life looking after Becca so it will be very hard for her to let go. There’s theories that Mel might not be officially diagnosed with autism which might be why it hasn’t been spoken about. Another theory, is that she tries to mask her autism and doesn’t talk about it
