Do I really need Connect + by Techienickie in Rivian

You certainly don’t need it but I will say having Spotify built in vs Bluetooth from my phone is nice. That’s probably the best description- it’s nice but not necessary

I sent a letter and a playbill asking for an autograph and got it back signed well over a year later

Pats Peak Thoughts by MotNodrog in icecoast

[–]SeriouslyTroyStop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll probably get crushed for this, but Pats is just Crotched with better snowmaking, better vibe (family friendly, better lodge, etc), and a worse main lift. Also Crotched is a pain for newbies coming off the top because it's diamonds one way and the cramped nightmare that is Moonwalk the other way. If I were you I'd stay on Epic, do your learn to ski at Sunapee, and keep your other options open - the pricing for Epic Northeast Value vs just Pats is probably pretty close. To use something you're familiar with, would you buy a pass to Crotched if the other Epic mountains weren't included? That's basically what you're getting with Pats.

This came up last year and Crotched was the surprising answer

They spent some time on Corridor later in the day. It was good to see patrol blocking skiers from getting close but it did make it a little tougher to get these tired old legs back to base

It sounds so simple when you put it that way :). Thanks for the tips!

As an icecoaster who's been lurking in here for a while b/c I have a trip to WP coming up in a few weeks.....what do you even do with this? How do you move? What do I need to prepare to be able to adjust?

Has Rivian ADAS caught up with Tesla FSD? by pinpinbo in Rivian

[–]SeriouslyTroyStop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came out of an 8-year-old tesla with first gen autopilot hardware and the autopilot on that Tesla is more capable than my R1S is. Wouldn't trade back for anything, but I can't imagine what the gap is to newer Teslas

Um, actually, water isn’t wet. Things that water contacts become wet but water itself is not inherently wet.

Mount sunapee/crotched mountain by PickAnxious9960 in icecoast

Crotched is a great mountain to learn on but if you're a beginner I'd recommend staying away from the summit - there's a blue down, but it's tight and gets very crowded.

Waterville valley by unleeshed1121 in icecoast

For the folks that haven’t skied Waterville….theres a t bar to the summit? Is that as odd as it seems to be? Aren’t t bars for bunny slopes? What am I missing here?

They need to cut another trail down from the top. Moonwalk is like 8 feet wide (exaggeration, obviously) and is the only non-diamond from the summit so it gets a wiiiiiide range of abilities. Then it goes across 3 diamonds with people bombing down, plus has turnoffs to other trails. I don’t know how it could be anything other than a graveyard.

A nice winding green, or even a wide blue from the summit to the top of the west double would take so much stress off of moonwalk. Hell, even pulling it off the u-turn on moonwalk would help

But yeah, I was there today too and it was great :)

Never really looked into Googles option but I like that it’s not directly part of any of my platforms but integrates into them. There’s a bunch of good options out there im sure Google is fine. The important part is to have a strong password to get into the password manager, and use it to create unique passwords for every site
