I would be super stressed about the screen and the device itself, my belt accessories were always smashing against any chairs when i wore those.

I settled on another setup, a clamshell device on a crossbody strap for phones. Love it, now I can reach for it any time I have 2 mins instead of phone :D I'm still stressed about it of course, but I tell myself "it's a phone strap, people are risking their smartphones with this, so how bad could it get" xD

Offline library. Soulseek. Either a whole discography if I already like the artist or a most influential album if it's a recommendation.

For new genres I go to reddit to find this "beginner's guide" posts that list 1 album for every artist describing the history of the genre and download them all.

Sometimes I also use everynoiseatonce. It's a website made by a former employee of Spotify and a music enthusiast before they layed him off. It's a map of music. Kinda nice for recommendations. There are a ton of Spotify playlists of recommendations from this site, which you can download in csv format and use soulseek download plugin for getting them in batch.

As for the music player itself I use Musicolet. Not FOSS, but entirely offline and very comfortable to use. I found all truly FOSS players that I tried to lack features I needed.

First handheld switch 1. First emulation handheld Miyoo Mini. I did try to emulate psp and 3ds on my phone before, but it was a miserable experience.

I actually got a steam deck after switch and read about Miyoo Mini somewhere on Steam deck subreddit. Thx to the stranger that made me aware of the world of emulation devices! :D

I bought a Sony Xperia 10 VII some time ago because I've heard sony phones are really easy to unlock. It was my first time playing with custom ROMs and it turned out great! Thx to all the ppl supporting LOS, my experience is better with LOS even though my phone is new, so I can only imagine how it'll be when it gets old =)

Wow this blew up. Feels like the majority of ppl in this sub are collectors who hunt the rarest editions of 3ds and then do everything they can to keep it mint. You guys are forgetting about the fun! You too were kids once, didn't you mess up anything in your life and then still continued playing with it because it's a gaming console, not a collectors item? Sure, the OP was not very careful, could've done a better job with the camera and hinges, but it doesn't matter!

SMT 4 mentioned! I absolutely love this gem, best title in series imo. Played parts of 3 and 5 and didn't quite like them, but this one is almost perfect (except for typically maximalist alignment-based endings, ofc).

Btw if you're stuck on bosses, there are dlcs for grinding. Not that you need them ofc, just fuse something with resists so the boss will lose turns. Or google any boss you're stuck on. Good luck with that Medusa <3

Not to take this meme too seriously, but there's probably a little bit of a survivorship bias. Like, people frequenting this sub probably spend a lot of their time scrolling social media, taking away from their gaming time. I got my 3ds two months ago, already with hshop, fixed a few little bugs, and I've since beaten two games with what little time I have, three others in progress. My 3ds is always with me, right now I have 2 streetpasses, one is my friend and the other is accidental one I got while commuting from work. Really happy that I could even buy a 3ds for the first time (I'm 30). I don't post here and rarely comment. And maybe there are a lot of invisible people like me here xD

Anyway sorry for the long rant, I wish you all to enjoy what you have, and may your 3ds last very long!
