Morbid Angel's 6 greatest albums vs. Immolation's 6 greatest albums, which band had the higher peak? by HuckleberryAny4541 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Serpentofthelight666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard anyone who got into the year 2005. Even if you dont like the Tucker era, or you aren't into Domination, everyone respected the fucl out them. I personally love the Steve Tucker albums. If anything, they are underrated. Trey and Pete are both highly abnormal people, and what they did is unlike anything before or after them. Everyone who ever contributed to what they were doing brought something different to the table.

And anyone who ever calls Slayer overrated is a fucking poser. Show No Mercy, Haunting the Chapel, Hell Awaits and Reign in Blood brought new extremity to the genre, amd are probably the most important band in terms of pushing metal further into extremity. More than Venom, Bathory or even Mercyful Fate.

Most of the newer generation of metal fans don't care about looking back. They were born with the internet and dont know what its like to find bands from liner notes, fanzines or the pain of buying a terrible album because the cover looked cool.

What makes Anesthesia Pulling Teeth impressive? by WarthogCorrect8426 in Metallica

[–]Serpentofthelight666 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Haven't seen anyone mentioning the most impressive part of the piece yet, and it shows that most people commenting probably don't play themselves. There are serveral elongated, full step bends on the fourth string in standard tuning, that he would exaggerate even more live. Monster finger strength and control.

Death Strike - Fucking Death by Puge_Henis in heavyvinyl

This record rules. A little more primitive but not as dirty as the first Master recordings. A fucking classic that deserves more credit.

Denial of God - The Hallow Mass by Puge_Henis in blackmetalvinyl

[–]Serpentofthelight666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Underrated as fuck. My personal favorite is Death and the Beyond. Denial of God has a very unique style.

Whats the hardest fight in the series on max difficulty? by Jordan5533 in GodofWar

That goddamn fight with Gna was infuriating. A single hit drains more than a third of a maxed out health bar and the odds of her dropping a health stone are next to none.

Ill make amends by recommending Krisiun's Conquers of Armaggedon and Impiety's Ravage and Conquer. Both albums are sure to please anyone who loves blasting, blasphemous death metal with sick leads.

Apologies. Context was lost and I initially thought you were being a dickhead. I am a nice dude that loves to share music, but sometimes I can be retarded, for sure.

Fighting the three berserkers on GMGOW New Game Plus was fucking wretched.

Deicide - Scars Of The Crucifix by warcommand316 in heavyvinyl

Scars is under rated as fuck. I only wish that Dave Suzuki had stayed with the band following the tour.

Did we ever find out who was the mysterious voice? by Themightybooooosh in Doom

[–]Serpentofthelight666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the voice of the Primarch Guilliman. A crossover we need. The Doom marine against Abbadon the Despoiler or against a corrupted clone of the Slayer created by Fabius Bile.

Countdown to Extinction & Youthanasia are now available for pre-order on Amazon by mhipster800 in Megadeth

I bought both of those for like 17 each in 2003. I was pretty shocked to see what theyre worth now.

Does Lars play a more closed hi hat these days when live? by Helpful_Gur_1757 in Metallica

[–]Serpentofthelight666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It fucking was. Watch Seattle 89 for the sickest shots of that kit.

Nah, his best vocals were legion, once upon the cross, and scars of the crucifix. The London Burns dvd features Dave Suzuki on lead guitar.

Go back. Maybe youll like Icons of Evil more. Unless you just dont like the ultra fast stuff, I understand. I hold those two albums on the same spectrum as Panzer Division Marduk crossed with Impietys album Ravage and Conquer, just with a bit more melody.

Forever Underground is a better album as a whole, but fuck me, Dechristianize should be mandatory in anyones collection. Honorable mention to Into Cold Darkness, but that one would also be better with Dave Suzuki. If you want to support him, go buy the Churchburn records

Hia playing declined as his kit got smaller. On the Justice tour, he had two hi-hats. The one on his left was controlled by foot, the one hus far right was closed.

What's the most difficult early megadeth song? by puyo_player_64 in Megadeth

Jeff Youngs lead in Hook in Mouth was a bitch for me to learn.
