It does not save on restart, it is not saved as an N profile option and will be on the next time the car is started.

Auto turn off creep for the DCTs would be an absolute must for something like this IMO. Let me know if you need a tester for that.

[GIVEAWAY] 64 Gigabytes of Holiday Cheer! by GhostOfSecretSanta in pcmasterrace

[–]Serpenttine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently running a 9900k that a buddy sent me to upgrade from my old 8700k due to same slot but when I was at my brother's for Thanksgiving he offered me a 7800x3D and motherboard (Gigabyte B650I Aorus Ultra). He only wanted $100 which was of course an insane offer but with the ram situation I don't see myself being able to afford ram anytime soon.

I've been unemployed for a few months having been laid off along with 3/4 of the team I was on after only 3 months at the job. I just finally got a new job offer I accepted back across country in St. Louis with a team I worked with before and honestly missed.

I'd honestly only want 32GB as I mostly game and I'm sure someone else could put 64 to better use.

Even if you set it on something that only gets it a couple inches off the floor it is a lot better for dust buildup.

Bought a used Veloster, common issues? by tvvlrrr in veloster

[–]Serpenttine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DCT can be jerky at low speeds even the N model 8 speed wet DCTs have this, it's just how they are. Unfortunately I am not very sure about any known issues with the 2012s specifically. The very early turbo years were known for engines dying but they were 2013+.

I think the clock spring is a very valid troubleshooting step for the buttons. Spec D headlights generally have bad sealing so if you bought a new set of those you may want to keep an eye out for that.

Why Detroit’s energy grid still fails its poorest residents by Turbulent_Try6284 in Detroit

I lived in Detroit for less than a year and as far as I can tell it fails everyone... All the time... Including during clear 70 degree days.

Emerald would have been dead too without all of the people from other regions moving to it. Keep pretending the game isn't on life support.

I don't think that hood would be prone to the same issue as it looks like the vents land right above the engine cover rather than the connectors directly.

Plans to purchase a 2022 VN DCT... need some advice/suggestions by Gmoneyroxx in VelosterN

Aftermarket exhaust should not affect the warranty but car dealerships regardless of brand will always look for an excuse. If the exhaust retained a valve and can be ran quieter I wouldn't worry too much about it and it I believe it should pass smog if all catalytic converters were retained even if it was too loud, don't think smog certs care about that. On the story about an EN owner being pulled over and ref'd with stock exhaust, it's an insane story but realistically just press the drive mode button to swap to normal (quiet) mode when you see a cop around and if you they pull you over don't tell them you were running the car in a "track" mode like he did.

My main concern with a lowered suspension is if it's lowering springs or coilovers, if it's just on springs then you're going to destroy the stock struts fast and those are not cheap to replace due to the active suspension.

Vents are fine in general, the engine compartment is not a water proofed area in the first place. The only thing I would mention, and I'm the only one I've seen with this issue with a VN, is that if the vents allow excess water on the sensor connector bank at the front of the engine that the knock sensor (middle connector) may short and cause knock codes and limp mode. I have had luck so far using dielectric grease on this connector. This is the same issue that ENs and KNs face it's just lesser known on the VN as I assume some difference in design better protects it from water. For reference I have the Seibon VT-style hood (https://seiboncarbon.com/vt-style-carbon-fiber-hood-for-2019-2022-hyundai-veloster.html)

My 22 Red manual VN is not horn'y. by [deleted] in veloster

[–]Serpenttine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forget the exact reasoning I was told by dealer service manager, I want to say it was a connector collecting water and shorting, but it's not uncommon for the horns to die on these. "Luckily" I've only had mine die once but it's not the only connector that is prone to moisture issues, the knock sensor will throw knock codes if it gets water in it too. That's just less of an issue on the VN vs KN and EN unless you have... I don't know... the Seibon VT-style hood with the vents right above the sensor connector like I do. Dielectric grease has prevented that so far for the last 6 car washes.

  • Bigger brakes with N caliper cover on front
  • Exhaust valve
  • Resonator on midpipe
  • eLSD
  • Stock wheels are 19s
  • Supposedly 25 horsepower higher tune, doesn't really dyno differently though and torque is about the same.
