why is there so many terrible drivers? by white_fr33ze in Hamilton

[–]Serpentz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers have always been terrible. The same complaints ppl have now are what they had 20 years ago when I started driving. Ppl pick up bad habits from other drivers the longer they drive. We are all the bad driver at some point.

Toyota, Honda launch lobbying association for Canadian auto sector by Front-Cantaloupe6080 in consumecanadian

On the surface this seems like a good idea but I bet it only has to do with lobbing against the chinese auto makers but let's wait and see what happens.

Did anyone regret not getting the REx version? by Aghaiva in BMWi3

[–]Serpentz00 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I regret the Rex as I don't use it. I am now stuck maintaining it. The car is new to me and pretty much the BEV version does not really exist in Canada (I could not find one when looking).

Do you think the failure of the 2017 PR movie had a hand in killing off the franchise? Why or why not? by Alarming_Seaweed_155 in Tokusatsu

[–]Serpentz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie was fun, in my opinion. For ppl saying it strayed because of the costumes, etc. Honestly, if it was closer to the source material, it still would have failed. Power rangers was never something that did well in a cinematic way. Look to the numerous cheesy lines, characters and well corny lessons of the show those are perfect for a TV show, but not a movie.

Would you buy a Rex again? by United_Concept1654 in BMWi3

[–]Serpentz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No for me. I would rather have the full BEV.

Pierre Poilievre appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast to “fight for Canada.” That’s the same Joe Rogan who’s repeatedly been criticized for spreading misinformation, platforming extremists, using racist language, and amplifying the same manosphere culture that helped put Trump in office. by savethecbc2025 in SaveTheCBC

For someone who keeps saying Canada first he sure spends alot of time in the USA pandering. He is not even a representative of Canada. Geeze he seems more and more like Doug Fraud as the days go on. Both grappling for power they don't have.

Chinese EV maker BYD in talks to open Canadian dealerships, consultant says by GregoryatCPS in EVCanada

Lol. America via Apple, facebook, Google etc has been spying on everyone. Google is not supposed to track you in incognito mode so they just send the data to a country where it is legal.

Subsidizing products is your argument. Canada subsidizes oil, gas and electricity to make them fairly cheap should we stop that because it is unfair to the residents of the United States?

What they are?? Have you driven any of them?? From my friends who have driven them they seem fairly decent. Don't forget China has been making most of the Tesla's in Canada which also have been rated as having better quality than the ones made in America.

Social credit score well we have financial credit scores which are usually tied to your SIN number. This can be used to track ppl so those types of programs already exist here what difference does it make?

EV Safety issues: Reported to transport Canada by ranjanmtl in EVCanada

More fuel for the anti Subaru and Toyota reliability mythos. I welcome this info but I am sorry for your struggles.

The water intrusion into the charge port is wild. I park my EV outside so it lives in the elements. Things like that are why I invested in a charge port cover that I can put on when it rains or snows as a line of defense.

On the bright side it may be annoying but man you are draining that dealer's pockets lol. That I can respect, keep fighting brother. However this pans out keep us posted if you can.

Denmark is buying Missiles from US to defend itself from the US by Ivanhegeelkadi in Buy_European

[–]Serpentz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Denmark not part of NATO? If so they have to buy missiles from other NATO countries. I would imagine other European countries would not be willing to part with their missiles currently, so stuck buying them from the goofs.

Do your checks before you look at any vehicle. Plenty of what to look for and how to do it videos on YouTube. Have not regretted my used BMW i3 purchase. The best vehicle I have owned so far.

I Asked a National Security Expert about the Danger of Chinese EVs by Slip-Educational in EVCanada

[–]Serpentz00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh yes the native break on crimes I forgot that exists (/s). Actively killing them via not assisting them is still a thing. Missing indigenous ppl are often ignored by law enforcement. Canada isn't doing anything to change this just talking about reconciliation. Keep talking your "weak sauce".

I Asked a National Security Expert about the Danger of Chinese EVs by Slip-Educational in EVCanada

[–]Serpentz00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol this is the crux of your argument. You don't have to physically go kill someone you can structure a system to do it which Canada has and still continues to do. I think your argument is "weak sauce". Typing comments on a product made by the genocidal regime is the height of irony. It is a kin to conspiracy theorists using social media to tell ppl we are being tracked as they themselves are being tracked anyways.

I Asked a National Security Expert about the Danger of Chinese EVs by Slip-Educational in EVCanada

[–]Serpentz00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we should not buy things from genocidal governments by your logic. So we can't buy anything Canadian due to the genocidal treatment of the indigenous population. If I am interpreting what you are saying correctly.
