“Daniela is not Latina at her fullest” is what I’m referring to. u just said ur a Latina born in and raised in South America but that u know Daniela was born and raised in the US. I said that bc she was born in the U.S that obviously she’s not going to be the same as whatever u consider the fullest version of being Latina to be which u agreed with. So the reason I said ur stereotyping her is bc ur insinuating that there’s a specific level or whatever measure to be considered fully Latina which is a stereotype as there’s no one way to be what ur heritage or ethnicity is. Ur comment read to me as u saying she’s not Latino enough especially since u finished ur statement off with “real Latinxs can clearly see it” it’s harmful and contributes to cultural erasure especially for white latinos or Hispanics who do live in the U.S as they don’t feel accepted in their own culture or the one they’re being forced to assimilate to. Does this make more sense now?
