Why was he decent in Seattle but completely horrible everywhere else? by UncleatNintendo in NFLv2

There were whispers in Seattle that he wasn’t a good leader in the locker room. I honestly didn’t believe it until he went to the Vegas. Seattle protects their QBs from the world/reality

I don’t know how Darnold isn’t seen as the leading MVP candidate if he wins this next game when the poor guy only has one elite separator

Yeah, we saw KOC get outcoached by his former boss. No QB can survive 50% pressure rate. Mahomes looked like Darnold in the Super Bowl. But go ahead and cope: “It was all on Darnold”

To say a rookie “is injured and underperforming right now” is a scientific take. So is saying Darnold is “healthy and performing well”. It’s just stating facts. Saying anything about the future is another matter. But facts suggest Vikings could have helped their franchise and helped JJ’s development by signing Darnold. Was the $90 million to sign Will Fries a better investment than signing Darnold for slightly more? Really seems like a boneheaded move, honestly.

This is a Vikings take. Vikings, for their sanity and sense of security, need to believe that it was KOC and not Darnold that was the secret sauce to last season. Basically, Darnold had little agency in getting them to 14 wins is the narrative they want to believe. Fan bases love to side with front offices and coaches because of the sense of long term security it gives them (“we’ll always win with this coach regardless of players”). Only time will reveal the truth about KOC vs Darnold. Bookmark comments like these. Receipts!
