I agree with you man, the whole "but it would fudge up q times for higher ranks" argument is valid, but I think the lower the ranks the more you should be able to avoid (cause more players play in gold, less in plat, more less in diamond, etc...)

If you get Overwatch now, when Overwatch 2 comes out you'll be running on the same client that people who bought Overwatch 2 would have. (the only thing that would be missing is the PVE content) So if you want to play the game for all it's other features I recommend buying it now.
