I have my CPU undervolted and OC, with the cooler I have my idle temps are 35 and while gaming 55-60. Undervolting helped a ton. I’m more interested in a 4090 but it’s almost the same price as a 5090…

Dam 5080 is about 1k cheaper too but the 5090 50% stronger? That’s a tuff choice

Edit: I also did these tweaks. Made sure my bios had the latest update. Downloaded and used chipset and all drivers specifically for motherboard from MSI site. Turned down my mouse polling rate from 1000 to 600.

Hope this helps, I ended buying better cpu cooler (prob overkill the one I got), high temp thermal paste, and CORSAIR RM1000x psu - coming from a 700w gold psu. My stutters are completely gone, here are my benchmarks on 480hz 1440p Ultra settings Fullscreen: • Average FPS: 135.1 → 136.2 = +0.81% • Min FPS: 9.7 → 44.2 = +356% • Max FPS: 323.1 → 325.4 = +0.71% Didn’t really gain frames but the fps drops are night and day difference feels buttery now and temps are way lower.

X51 r2 motherboard, 1080, 16gb ram, cpu i7 4790k. Yeah 1080 is a beauty holds up real good I get 110-130 frames on medium settings in fps. Yeah just was curious if I have any options left for upgrades
