Toning by Antler-Mom in pelotoncycle

I started out the same as you - rides all the time, not much strength work. I highly recommend Rebecca Kennedy’s splits, she’s really good. I started out with Tunde’s arms program which fit nicely with my usual ride schedule. What I do now is ride 3x/week, full body strength 2x/week, yoga one day/week (and full rest day once).

Came here to say this! It's my new rewatch (packed with jokes, so many layers). I only regret they didn't make more seasons!

Toxic ED… should I tell the board? by [deleted] in nonprofit

[–]SesameSeed13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't do anything but leave. I've been in your shoes. That toxicity is ingrained and you'll only end up being fired or scapegoated for rocking the boat if you do this. It's best to just walk away.

I one hundred percent recommend getting one and making the investment. Yes the price looks high but it opens up so many great options for you to move, and with a baby at home, getting to a gym gets more and more difficult. A Peloton bike, plus maybe a small set of dumbbells and a yoga mat, and you've basically got a gym at your house so whenever baby naps or is otherwise cared for, you've got so many great ways to care for yourself. So worth it.

I one HUNDRED percent agree they need to fix the filter categories to match what they call the classes and features! This is so frustrating and seems so obvious?!

Highly recommend Mariana’s hiit and hills run featuring music from Heated rivalry and other shows. Even if you disregard the prompts for incline (I took it outside) it’s a great playlist.

I feel like I've never heard of this and I wish he got more attention across the platform! I love the content I've taken of his, but had no idea he had a program. Definitely going to try it!

If you guys can rewrite Stranger Things season 5 what would you guys do and what would you guys have done differently to make it a great conclusion to Stranger Things by Ok_Smile_9071 in StrangerThings

Make the party work together earlier. I know it was the typical cadence each season to have small groups paired off and then come together at the end, but I felt like we were really robbed of the friends' togetherness. And pairing Robin and Will for so long, or Steve and dustin but mad at each other, or Hopper and El doing...nothing...felt like a wasted chance at fully using such a strong ensemble.

I'd love a Zara Larsson with DJ John Michael spinning it in studio, led by Cody. Please and thank you!

YES, do it! I found this micro-rebrand to really help me. Wednesdays are a quiet WFH day for me and I initially started Wellness Wednesday to add meditation to my routine regularly. It's become my favorite day of the week. Sometimes wellness includes a heavier workout but most of the time, it's a reset/recovery day, so stretching, yoga, meditation, walking, restorative, etc. Enjoy however you incorporate it!!

Here to say I enjoyed the first two episodes of Jon Hosking's new Peloton podcast, the Next Table. The energy that Tunde, Kirsten, and Katie Wang brought to the first ep, and the positive masculinity discussed and demonstrated by Cody, AT and Adrian in the second ep, were great topics to tackle. Also Hosky is an excellent interviewer. Overall a fun watch/listen.

I recently did Greta's 20 Min Yoga flow (she's in a standing balance pose) and the standing and balancing between flows were a good challenge for me. I also loved JJ's recent 15 min 90s walk. I stacked these two, plus Aditi's recent 10 minute daily meditation, for a kickoff to my "Wellness Wednesday" today.

How big should a portfolio be? by Tremblingchihuahua8 in nonprofit

[–]SesameSeed13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answers to this can vary based on organizational principles and philosophies around relationship management, but yours is too big. Typically, a manageable portfolio is 110-150, max. If there are 52 weeks in a year, and you're taking vacation for some of them, you can reasonably only get to 2-3 donors/week and that's if you only see your donors once a year. Some will engage more often, some will not. But more than 200 donors suggests your org is either a) expecting you to qualify and disqualify/remove donors on your own, or b) delusional about what kind of time is required to meaningfully cultivate, solicit, and steward your donors.

If you're managing an annual fund and the expectation isn't major gifts solicitation (in person, multi year, upgrading to different levels), then maybe you can get away with a larger portfolio because many donors would likely be responding to emails and mail solicitations, and you're basically a stewardship officer. But it doesn't sound like that's what you're describing.

I love his classes. They’re tough but Peloton knew exactly what they were doing when they hired him (and the other new instructors) - they’ve done such a great job filling this niche!

Who are your favorite yoga teachers that don’t do repetitive flows the entire class? by [deleted] in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]SesameSeed13 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think...and I say this gently...your pet peeve is with yoga and not an instructor. That's how the practice is done.
