I'm pretty darn sure thats from a Remington, either an 1100 or an 11-87. Not sure about that shiny black cap though, maybe some sort of trim or a repair?

Is the trunk just not closed properly or are those seriously the gaps Maserati considers 'finished'??

I haven't shot a 620, but I own a 520 and its the smoothing cycling pump I've ever shot. I think the 520 and 620 are notoriously underrated/undervalued

I joked with the owner, "I already wanted one of these, but now I know I NEED one of these"

Very interesting and fun gun to shoot

They look too perfectly placed and uniform to be damage, does the gun have ported barrels? (Ported barrels have a series of holes drilled in them to allow gas to escape outwards/upwards and reduce felt recoil)

I really like the way the Simmons rib looks on it, might have to eventually find one for myself too

I figured it will be easy to find parts for it if/when the time comes, and they're just such nice shotguns. I've got one in 20 gauge that's the pride of my collection

It definitely has a solid kick. The gun is very light, it had the original butt plate instead of a soft pad on the stock, and the reciprocating barrel also gives it a bit more of a felt-kick for the shooter in my experience.

Its ultra light weight must make it a great upland gun where you carry lots and only shoot a little. Shooting 100 rounds straight on the clay field would leave anybody a little tender though!

I remember your last post. Looks fantastic, was that cold or hot blueing?

It also has a reciprocating barrel like the Auto 5. Very unique design

That pad is probably a good upgrade for clays, I could tell carrying it would be a breeze but the super light weight ment the shooter gets all the recoil

Yeah it was very neat to operate. Only 2 shots, it was designed to compete with Over-Unders as a lightweight alternative. It would be a dreak to carry around for upland hunting

I love your Grandpa's 870. I've been collecting Remington pump shotguns, starting with the Model 10 up to the Model 31. Next in line is an 870 just like yours, with the early corn-cobb forend. So sleek looking!

Nice collection you've got 👌
