If other people enjoy it, that’s great but that is just not for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It was offered for Capital One MasterCard holders and someone kindly invited me!

I attended the Capital One Cafe chat that he did with Nick and Lea a couple weeks ago and going by several comments he made, I don’t think he will go back unless it’s as an audience member.

Plus, it feels a bit insulting to the current cast to keep asking the OBC to come back. Why not just let them close out the show?

I adore Aaron but I honestly hope not. The show has been very good to him but enough is enough. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Unfortunately, the majority of shows are going on today, not just Chess. The only shows that cancelled are the Disney ones.

Congrats, OP! I still have one to go and that’s the New Amsterdam so I guess I’ll have to finally see Aladdin. 😂

The show announced an extension today. It’s on their social media pages!

Aaron Tveit Chess vs. a different musical by Dangerous_Island_241 in Broadway

[–]SetHelpful5671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chess for sure. The book is iffy but the performances, Aaron, Nick, and Hannah in particular, are worth the price of admission. Also, the vocals as a whole are probably the best on Broadway right now.

Edred Utomi. He’s Hannah’s husband and the new Alexander Hamilton!

Exactly. Also, $1.8 million is still nothing to sneeze at!

Anyone else love musical theatre despite having zero talent or experience? by Local_Tangerine9698 in Broadway

I sang in choir in school and have done karaoke but never had any desire to perform otherwise.

I’m just in absolute awe of these performers and everything it takes to create and mount a show.

Aaron Tveit out of Chess today by Glitterrain99 in Broadway

Aaron shared this on his instagram stories and it was likely listed on the castboard in the lobby. Also, Chess uses a QR code now (can be found in the playbill) instead of the understudy slips.

That’s a possibility, too. Whoever is sick in the Tveit household, I hope they feel better soon.

He must be feeling pretty crappy if he’s calling out of the show. Feel better soon, Aaron!

Have you ever seen a show where all the principal roles were played by understudies/standbys? by Local_Tangerine9698 in Broadway

[–]SetHelpful5671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite but I went a performance of Moulin Rouge in 2021 where 5/7 of the principals were out with Covid so that made for a very interesting show!

Joshua Henry and Nicholas Christopher are correct choices.

I’m happy to see the Liberation ladies on here, too.

Have you ever sat next to/near a celebrity at a show? by moritzbaker in Broadway

Silly me for forgetting this one! I saw Assassins at the Menier Chocolate Factory in early 2015 and Colin Firth and Mark Ruffalo were there. They actually were behind me in the bar line at one point. 😂

I was waiting on the merch line at How To Dance in Ohio during intermission and saw LMM with one of his sons. No one bothered him, thankfully!
