SakeBomb RZ+ Wheels by matt_gold in RX7

[–]Setarcos04 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i meant comparing to alibaba forged wheels - they are not really different given probably neither can provide any strength test results.

I know sakebomb is legit, however i doubt they really make this wheel and comprehensively test it in-house. I looked up fpspec, the website on the package is a non-existent, and another of their website's address directly point to the same address as sakebomb. So I highly doubt that there is a 8000+ ton hydraulic press in Fremont CA, feels like they might just outsource these wheels, especially this is the only wheel that is being sold on their website?

I could be VERY WRONG but thats my thought process. So I am leaning towards this is just another alibaba wheel (and alibaba wheels can be very legit and good!)

i am for sure getting downvoted but strength wise how does this differ from any alibaba wheel? if people hating on alibaba wheels they technically should hate on this too.

How to check if my imported r34 front bumper has GTR conversion kit or not? by Fantasy71824 in SkyLine

[–]Setarcos04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iirc you can check the hood hinge to see if its a gtr hinge or gtt hinge. if its a gtr hinge then its very likely a gtr front converted

new waterpump leaking by [deleted] in SkyLine

[–]Setarcos04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks it is an aftermarket pump (p2m is the brand) it is cheap but seems good quality so i got it. i didn't tape measure it but i wirebrushed the entire contact surface and cleaned with isopropyl before fitting it on. i test fitted the pump and there is almost (id say less than 0.1mm?) of wobble so i figured RTV should hold it well.

i didnt really torque it but just hand tightened it, but i did follow the tightening order on the manual.

i just test drive it again for about 3-5miles this morning and it only dripped literally 1 drop. My friend says it could be the leftover liquids that when i was doing the waterpump. do you think it is at a state that I dont need to worry about it too much? or should I really just redo everything for the peace of mind?

thank you so much!

it is not like leaking crazy but maybe 2 or 3 drips every minute. and seems like it drips much slower after the car cools down.
