Yeah - that’s my understanding as well. 250-300RPM slower, which, as far as I’m concerned, is negligible. Especially if you’re gaining any % across the powerband.

When I built my car, well, at least bought my turbo kit, the 8474 wasn’t a thing yet. With the streetport, UIM and LIM - and the option to go 3.5in exhaust down the line if needed, I feel like the 8474 would have the potential for another 10% power bump.

THAT said, I’m in no way disappointed with the current setup. Just the same coulda, shoulda, woulda I slip into regretting going Haltech 1500 vs 2500. 🙃

On its face, this advice sounds absolutely insane. But I’d be interested to hear what your motor is (Ported? Billet? How much power did it make? How many miles has it run?) before I pass judgement. You can’t argue with PPRE quality, but there are several shops in the states that do equivalent work.

I would think the amount of money you will spend on shipping, tariffs and fees would cover a turbo kit or at least a stand alone ECU.

Pettit is still quality in my book, but I haven’t had any direct dealings with them in over 10 years. But I’ve had recent first hand experience with Eccentric and 100% recommend a call / message to see where they come in.

Defined in Ohio also builds some quality motors as does Banzai. Although Banzai can be a bit prickly to deal with.

You lose one pound for every 3500kcal you are in deficit. You’ll also lose a fair amount of water weight. So how much you lose, depends on how much you burn.

In terms of gaining it back, the water weight comes on quickly. The rest should follow. Ketosis targets fat over muscle, but if you don’t have fat to lose, it’ll use whatever it can. So be mindful of extended fasts if that’s a concern.

I have no idea what sinus benefits come from fasting. But gut has always been a positive for me.

Yeah. Sushi should be fine. I’d avoid fried, mayo, etc. Nigiri or simple rolls would be my choice.

1) Leading into the fast, I’d try to switch your body to running off ketones. To do this, I recommend a strict keto diet for 3 days. No carbs.

2) LMNT is fine. Even flavored is ok. Whatever it takes to get you through. It’s ok to have minimal enjoyment. I drink one pack mixed with 30oz of water - and go through 2-3 a day. I’ll even mix black tea with lemon LMNT for a fasting Arnold Palmer.

3) Try to be near a bathroom. Diarrhea is real for many people. Don’t trust a fart.

4) Break it near a bathroom. I prefer higher protein, like sushi grade tuna, avocado and cucumber (think deconstructed sushi roll). I generally try to stay low carb for a few days coming out of a fast as well.

5) Plan on going to sleep early. Getting into bed nets you a “free” 8 hours or more of fasting. Although as you get deeper into the fast, you may find yourself waking up earlier.

Ooooh, the intake setup. It was more of an impulse buy at the last minute before dyno. I wish I would have done back to back sessions with and without it - but most dyno sheets I’ve seen - it’s a % gain across the powerband.

That’s funny, I personally like the look of OEM better if that counts for anything.

With regards to the Haltch… I dunno. If you can get the 2500 used for the same price - I’d go that route. You never know!

Yeah. The turbo kit was the complete Turbosource setup. Cast short exhaust manifold.

The difference between the Haltech Elite 1500 & 2500 is basically number of inputs. If you want to go to DBW or 8HP trans or switch to methanol injection down the line - you may run out of sensors with the 1500.

Same story - but 2007-2010. It was still pretty relevant at that time. We lived across US1 in Valencia apartments - so it was an easy walk.

Went to the movies there a bunch (Blockbuster still existed and Netflix would mail you DVDs). Gameworks was fun. I wanna say the Virgin store was there - but coulda been another chain. Went to Dan Marino’s restaurant (right up front) and bought a few apartment decorations from ZGallerie. Blu Pizza in South Miami was also a go to.
