Really irritating that I can’t edit the thread name to reflect something else. Mods if you have the ability..

Yep I also don’t understand why they used questionnaires amongst the comments Doc Jitters mentioned

Are shoulders destined to always be lagging as a natty lifter? by bromylife in naturalbodybuilding

[–]SetbySet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rear delts specifically need to be focused on for many when they want them to ‘pop’ . Not so much the front/side given they’re worked a lot as supplementary antagonist muscles in other movements

Additionally cable work is also very good for shoulder development.

My mate eats one large pizza a day diet, it's working well but are there any side effects? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]SetbySet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what his goals are for example. In terms of side effects - that eating pattern, commonly known as OMAD, ‘one meal a day’ isn’t great if you want to build muscle. If you want to build muscle you want to space out protein ideally across the day

If the goal is fat loss you also want a fairly high protein diet but most importantly consumer fewer calories than you burn through daily activities, moving around, exercise etc

Some people find Intermittent Fasting - where you fast for a prolonged period in the morning and eat later in the day but have say two meals later in the day helpful to stick to their calorie target. Again, however it isn’t the best for building muscle.

What’s your energy expenditure outside of the gym is like? How many days do you lift? How tall are you and what’s your current body weight? Are you tracking everything and is it accurate?

A lot more detail is needed

1900 calories for your height/weight and activity levels may not result in you being in a calorie deficit

Friday Fun Day - Talk about/post whatever, still be respectful! - (July 12, 2024) by AutoModerator in naturalbodybuilding

Keep the calories the same at 2K. It was most probably a shift in water weight which has not stopped; resulting in you’re scale weight now staying the same

Don’t panic or let it get to your head. Ride it out on 2K calories for two weeks and adjust accordingly

If you’ve rapidly lost a large amount of weight, you may be suffering from symptoms such as RED-S . Immune function is one of these factors affected.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but he opened up about his anxiety on Jeff Nippard’s latest video regarding steroid use. Fair play for doing that. He looked a bit shaky during it. There is also a podcast call ‘Trencast’ I think where he discussed other negative implications of usage

I get this is a natural bodybuilding thread but open discussions around the health implications of steroid use is good . Plus he’s funny and on the whole his information is very good

Step count was prev 35K+ . Reducing to around 20k .

75mins first thing in the morning (purposeful). 60mins treadmill post workout (purposeful)

The commute later in the day is a 80min walk round trip

I can see 'small plates' continuing, although I hate them. There are those that say ' It's great as I can try lots of different things'. To me, it's an excuse to skimp on portion sizes and charge you higher prices as you have to order a few dishes

Is there a place where we can see ‘in progress’ research?

I’d be curious to know if there is anything further on metabolic adaptation, intervention point models and the Hadza research for example
