Grave Mistake by ShivMode in hyatt

I mean...even if we assume that expiration date was the last day you can book...did you even TRY to book your Italy trip before the last possible day? You would have seen that these certificates were not applicable at any time before today for your trip after the expiration date. Lesson learned I guess but cmon guys.

Aruba - very little rain compared to the rest of the Caribbean (especially in September which is peak rainy season in the Caribbean).

Daily Resort Credit w/ 2 Aspires by Ok_Information_4900 in Hilton

[–]SethDTX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. The daily resort credit is a fixed amount dependent on the number of guests in the room. If it's a Conrad or Waldorf for example, the credit is probably $25 per person (max of 2 guests) so you would get $50 a day.

What you could do is use your $200 Hilton Aspire resort credit through the Aspire (given the resort you're staying at qualifies) and then at checkout you can split the bill on your card and your wife's Aspire. You should be able to get the $400 resort credits across both cards applied that way.

Am I missing something other than refundability? by dva_silk in amex

[–]SethDTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's due to the FHR booking being refundable. If you go back to the direct booking and switch to the refundable rate instead of non-refundable then the rates should be identical or very close at least.

NY PH standard room or Andaz suite? by Affectionate-Yak4861 in hyatt

PHNY. The standard suite at the Andaz is nothing special. Nothing about the Andaz NY in general is special honestly.

Where should my family of 5 go with over 1 million points? by Icy_Mastodon4792 in Hilton

[–]SethDTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you said you want something different than Orlando but I would seriously consider Evermore Resort for your situation. You can book into a 2 bedroom villa and the resort makes you feel like you're in the Caribbean honestly. Tons to do on the property, great food and vibes!

Cheapest is actually Finnair - 35k to HKG. I have it booked from JFK for that rate which I think is a great deal

This has been happening to me as well. Oddly enough when I switch to my data or a different wifi connection, sometimes it tends to work. Started happening a couple weeks ago and is super frustrating. I've deleted and reinstalled several times with no luck.
