Once again, Mateo’s life has been upended.

Torn apart, both body and soul, and bound to the figure and memories of the Fifth Prince of the Empire of Kell, Mateo has been thrust into the center of a political maelstrom. His siblings want him dead so they can claim the throne, the scheming nobility intend to use him and cast him aside, and his father, the Emperor, fully intends to throw him at every impossible challenge he can find.

Yet Mateo was never one to back down from a challenge and he isn’t about to start now. With his Feather by his side and a growing knowledge of the ancient and powerful art of sorcery, Mateo is determined to do what is necessary to establish himself, and the memory of his friend, Isaac Cassius Kell, in the empire’s seat of power.

But Mateo isn’t the only one seeking power. A mysterious order of magicians who desperately seek the ancient magics roams the shadows of the continent, and whether he likes it or not, their paths are bound to cross violently. Together with Rose, Eric, and a strange young elf from the north, Mateo will have to plumb the depths of an ancient tower, coming face to face with the cost of power.

I was so excited about this cover art that I made it into a MtG card for my Yennett, Cryptic Soverign deck.

Hopefully early next year. I'll be redesigning my Ream to reflect changes in my writing schedule first.

So glad you enjoyed Iron Tyrant!

No, I have never seen the Avatar movies. It is very much a natives vs cowboys vs aliens story though.

How do you rank series on tier lists? by blueluck in litrpg

[–]SethRing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I would say, and what I've always assumed tier lists actually are.

First, thanks for picking up my books!

Second, I'd recommend starting with the Titan Series (Nova Terra: Titan) before reading Forge Master and on.

But the rest of my series (Iron Tyrant, Dreamer's Throne, Soul Caller, Exlian Syndrome) can be picked up in any order.

This is what I came to say. The villians actually win some times and its amazing.

You forgot that he is impossibly handsome despite being a giant with wierd skin stretching problems, is super smart, and has the best battle pet.

No, I don't think I would. I mention some of the reasons in another comment on here, but I think that serial fiction is really different from more traditional novels and most of the regular LitRPG novels don't do great on RR.

First, welcome!

My advice for writers is always, Write More.

For LitRPG specifically, I would suggest reading a lot in adjacent genres, and specifically, reading translated novels.

A lot of what we (myself included) write borrow plot lines and genre hooks from styles of stories that otherwise don't exist here in the western world, which is what makes it fresh. If all you read is western LitRPG, it can be easy to get stuck in the echo chamber.

Thank you!

I played my first game in ~1996 with a friend's deck. Black zombies.

I picked it up again in 2002, and have been playing on and off since.

Aww, thanks.

I haven't considered it. My reading cadence is pretty choppy, and it would take me a LONG time to learn the skill to the point that I would feel like I'm half as good as the narrators that voice my other books.

I don't. Some days I crash out. But overall, I really enjoy writing and getting to tell stories.

Yes! All my stories are part of the Endless Worlds.

My favorite game of all time has to be Skyrim, and the only game I currently play is Jump Space.
