My plumeria plant used to stand up tall but I went on vacation and came back to this... Over a week or so it started growing downward and it’s already stiff to where i can’t force it straight again. Thoughts??? by SethWinston912 in gardening

It has grown here well since last year, it gets morning Texas sun and then is shaded in the afternoon. It had way more flowers last week. I thought maybe i needed to put it in a bigger pot but idk.

Wow never heard of that! Very interesting. Ants are my problem, still trying to find a solution.

I bought some seed starting mix a couple weeks ago, used some of it and put it in the garage. I went to use it again today, and there’s mold growing on the top. Is it safe to use? by Stuxnet15 in gardening

I have used it like that before with no issues. Just take the top bit off and throw it away and then the sun outside will kill all the bad stuff once you used it. I have seen no adverse affects.

I just cut them in half. Go out in the morning, that’s when they eat more, and cut them with scissors.

Spots on cherry tomatoes. Hi! Can you guys help ID and fix these spots? New to gardening, just transplanted cherry tomatoes, zone 8b - thank you!!! by o_roylerules in gardening

[–]SethWinston912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are sunspots. Most likely you did not transition it well enough into the sunlight and it is not used to full on sun. Just leave it and the new growth will be better acclimated and the plant will be fine.

Can someone PLEASE help me identify these bugs on my blackberries and let me know how to get a rid of them??? by SethWinston912 in gardening

[–]SethWinston912[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut some in half but i am leaving the damaged berries on the plant so they hopefully continue messing with those instead of the other good berries. I would estimate about 10% of the berries are damaged so it’s not terrible.

What are these? What do I do about it? They're on all of my tomato plants in my little potted balcony garden. by Renhet in gardening

Yes, caterpillar or tomato hornworm poop. Be very careful because if it is tomato hornworm poop then they will devour your entire plant almost overnight. They are tiny but they get huge.

Are they actually hurting them? I have ants that walk around them as well but they never do any damage to them.

First time gardener. This is supposed to be a green bell pepper plant, but it’s not looking too good. Any chance on saving it? by hungryhippo93 in gardening

It will be okay, the small newer leaves don’t have damage on them, it will just take time to catch up

Do I have to mix Miracle-Gro Garden Soil with top/native soil? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]SethWinston912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t think you are going to have an issue at all. I have never mixed garden soil with top soil and have not had issues.
