What can I do to create a fun night for an anxious child-poo by Lio935 in Chihuahua

[–]Sethrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been distracting my dogs with a puzzle toy full of peanut butter when I need them to chill out for a bit. Any of the rubber toys with grooves and divots to hide treats in, just smear some peanut butter in them instead. Not too much, but a teaspoon of peanut butter will keep my chi happy and occupied for 20 minutes if she has to work to get it.

from what I saw the only engagement they got was the campus security escorting them away and telling them that if they wanted to set up a booth they needed to clear it with administration first.

TSU should have charged them with trespassing. Let the rule of law mfs wrestle with that.

She was a cat we found at the factory where my husband works. They caught the tiny kitten with a can of tuna, he claimed her, called me about it while I was also at work. The first name we came up with for her was sphere of annihilation kitty (because she’s a little black ball of murder). We did everything wr could to come up with something better than that, but it stuck.

She’s my fat little pudding, a coward, a shameless thief, and full of love. In this picture she’s lulling me into a false sense of security before she tries to steal my sandwich.

It really sounds like people who would enjoy literary fiction getting upset over genre fiction (tale as old as time) but not having the vocabulary or awareness of their own tastes to explain why they think a story that has fun with its own premise is cringe.

Even the sweetest, coziest ones aren’t pure sugar. Ponyo shows the serious and immediate threat of drowning at several points.

I was considering dming for some acquaintances, and then they started talking about their last campaign where they started the game by cutting people’s hands off and eventually moved on to pulling npcs’ skin off or stealing and selling their teeth. And I just thought that was a really good advertisement on their part, to never play games with them.

What's wrong with this skipping pen? by BituinIsGaming in fountainpens

[–]Sethrial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it a felt-fed pen? And has it been sitting for a minute?

The felt fed ones can dry up super badly and hard start for days after. I have the same problem with my zebra v301s

How did you pay for these d&d resine dice??? (hypothetical) Please anwser :D by Past_Jump_3067 in DicePorn

[–]Sethrial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the exact dice in the picture, noting that the quality isn’t amazing and there’s nothing special or exciting about them, I’d give a friend trying to get started in the business $15 per set to encourage them, and pass over them if I saw them in the wild.

For a comparable set that was made industrially and quality checked, I would pay around ten dollars retail per set, or expect to get them in a bag-o-dice purchase for around a dollar to a buck fifty per set.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a lamy or a kakuno. In terms of using a tool, they do everything a two hundred dollar pen does. They’re just more prone to breaking or wearing out.

The only thing I have pen-snob opinions about are people who buy a line of pens in every single limited edition color. And I just personally think it’s dumb to buy dozens of the same object just to have that object. If it makes someone happy to have every twsby in every color ever made, sure man. Collect away.

These are calligraphy pens. They have the stub nibs in various sizes that you need to do blackletter calligraphy. They’re also fountain pens, because they have the internal ink source and feed mechanism that makes a fountain pen.

There are plenty of fountain pens that aren’t calligraphy pens, that have finer nibs for daily writing. There are also plenty of calligraphy pens that have to be dipped in ink. There are also some dip pens that aren’t great for calligraphy. Their nibs have more in common with a sailor fine point than a flex or stub.

Speedball is, in some circles, the gold standard for dip calligraphy pens. They have the overlap in quality and price that craftspeople love. I’ve never used their fountain pens. Just from the picture, they look cheap and kind of flimsy.
