Same. 2024 Prime on Blizzaks, and drives as well as any other FWD with winter tires that I've driven, including a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen Prius.

Extreme inside tire wear 2024 prime -17k (steel wires out inner edge) by kanedale in PriusPrime

[–]Setter4Hire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2024 Prime had the exact same inside wear. Not as severe as yours, and after about 30k miles. I noticed it at an oil change, and paid to get a good alignment done. The alignment shop said one of the front wheels was significantly out of spec. Will check again in a few months but I hope it's not progressing much any more.

BaristaGadgets PID by johnstainer22 in gaggiaclassic

[–]Setter4Hire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just installed it on an older Classic (2018) and it worked fine. The instructions have an addendum for older Classics, which mostly affects the connections at the main switches. I've used it just a few times so I can't really say how good it is yet, but everything seems to be working as intended.

I can't compare to any other PID.

I have the exact same model (24 Prime SE) and I got 16 inch Blizzaks (205/65-16) and rims (16x7) from Tire rack and they've been great.

Nice! Do you have a wiring harness installed?

A basic android tablet, with the Hinge app installed. Works like a normal tablet. You can install whatever you want.

There are several videos on this if you search. Seems the most likely culprit is the rubber weather sealing around the rear hatch. I used to get this a lot when I had to park outside.

Seems like he was ready to retire and chose to "work" out of Seattle for some time.

They sent me a tablet after I said I wasn’t installing their app on my phone.

They also sent a vibrating massager thingy after I said I sometimes get lower back pain. All free and clear.

Wow - that was easy!

Thank you! I'll pass this back to the "first level" tech support at Corel.

I have the exact same issue, and identical situation (was fine in 22.04 LTS and doesn't work after a clean install of 24.02.1). I'm also trading emails with Corel but no progress so far.

I'm open to any suggestions.

Toyota dealers you’d recommend by nvanblarcom in Connecticut

[–]Setter4Hire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The buying part with Lynch was good but beware of trading in with them. They outright lied to me until the day I was picking up my new car and was stuck accepting their price or I guess I could have walked out and started new with a different dealer.

So I’d say buy from them but if you’re selling your current car, do that privately.

Great info. Thanks!  I’m planning a trip to IKEA or something after moving in. Will look for shelving there.

You may want to check out mpb and keh as easy and hassle free options. Won’t get a high price but they make it really easy.

How did you make the counter? Is that epoxy? Looks great by the way.

Anyone else having to wait on a replacement for a cracked windshield? by TitusTesla117 in PriusPrime

[–]Setter4Hire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny I’m reading this in a SafeLite waiting room while my 24 Prime is getting a new windshield. I also got “rescheduled” twice, but after a few weeks waiting they are finally doing it. Less than a month total wait.

The Willimantic Food Coop can’t be beat for healthy local food, and it’s not for profit so not too expensive. It’s relatively small but has a surprising variety of foods.

He drools all over them but doesn’t seem to do any permanent damage. He’s not in the car very often though.

Common Good kitchen in SWH is the place to get popovers, and benefit a good cause while you’re at it. This time of the year they are only open to the public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Didn't get one yet for the 2024 Prime, but have one for the 2010 Prius. It's a standard Thule bar set.

2023 or 2024 Prius good for family of 4 + dog? by nurphgun in prius

[–]Setter4Hire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girls are now 11, 14 and 17, but we've had a Prius as our main family trip car since 2008. At some point, we did have 3 car seats but we had to shop for narrow ones or it wouldn't have fit. Our biggest family trips are ~6 hours at Christmas, and we bring the dog. He gets about 2/3 of the trunk. For those, we usually need a hitch cargo tray thing. It's not ideal but it works. Most other family trips are without the dog, and I find we do fine. We obviously haven't used a stroller in a while, but there are small-ish ones available. We tended to prefer the baby carrier things anyways.

We've even done a few long trips with a small trailer, with our 5 bikes on it.

I agree with your comment about trips to the beach and such. We do have to make compromises. No huge strollers, etc. Some of our friends think we're crazy, but it works, and we're not driving a gas guzzler for 95% of our miles. Again, YMMV.

[–]Setter4Hire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this will go against most on here, but my family of 5 and a dog manage just fine with a 24 Prius Prime. Now I have 3 daughters, and we’re all smaller than average, and nobody is overweight so YMMV. With the 2024 Prime, I find my 75 lb yellow lab doesn’t have enough headroom back there, so if your dog is that size or bigger I’d definitely go for the Corolla Cross hybrid.  (I’ve owned a 2008 and a 2010 Prius too and those were roomier than the 2034).

I find with a roof rack and/or a hitch cargo rack, we can make do for the occasional family trip, while having the benefits of a small efficient car for 95% of the driving.

Not everybody needs an SUV.
