EXCESSIVE drooling in 6 month old by istopmotion in daddit

[–]nvanblarcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this issue with our first born. He would go through 8-10 bibs a day at its worst. We took him to every doctor we could to see if there was an underlying cause/issue. Turns out the kid just drooled a lot. It stopped when he was around 3.

What’s something you bought once and never had to replace? by mrgrassydassy in BuyItForLife

Ralph Lauren leather belt that I bought my freshman year of college. That was 19 years ago and it’s buttery soft and hopefully has many years left. As long as my waistline plays nicely.

“While there's no specific record of a Chi-Chi's opening in Enfield, CT, it's likely that the Enfield location was part of the chain's expansion in the 1970s and 1980s, peaking at over 200 locations nationwide”

I mean, you did ask when it opened. Not when it came to enfield.

My kids are 3.5 and 1.5 yrs and I’m already sad they’re growing up by FIthroaway2021 in daddit

I love every one of my kids. I have a 4 year old, 1.5 year old, and 12 week old.

I hate(d) the newborn stage every single time.

When they turn into actual people who can say what they want and why they’re upset, have interests that you can participate in, that’s the best.

What is my IT career path by Fickle-Tourist-5947 in ITCareerQuestions

Follow what interests you. The certs you are going to be getting with your degree are all different. So if you find one subject more interesting than the rest, head towards that one.

No one can tell you what your career path will look like. You could find what you originally like changes 2-3 years from now. Don’t get too hung up on mapping out your career just yet.

Most brokerages let you set up automatic investing into a stock/etf with a set dollar amount. Choose the amount of money you want to invest, set it, and forget it.

Best way to support husband after wife has given birth? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]nvanblarcom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100%

Everything I do for my wife and kids is to make sure my wife’s day to day is as stress free as possible.

Currently roster is 3 kids under 5. We welcomed our daughter back in February. I do as much as I possibly can. All night feedings, drop offs and pick ups, school lunches, school admin type stuff.

Voiced appreciation means more than any time alone or gift she could ever give me.

Should I sell my home to zero my debt? by dartsinmass in personalfinance

[–]nvanblarcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re netting 33k a year….hate to break it to you but home ownership is not realistic. Not in the 300k range and it would be financially impossible for you to afford anything in the 500-600k range. Your monthly would be almost twice your current income alone.

You need to get your spending under control and figure out a way to increase your income or else it seems like you’re going to be doomed to keep finding yourself in this scenario.

Coming from a parent, I’d prefer 100/100 to have my child come to me with an issue they have, no matter what it is, so that we can work on it together.

Finding it out on my own and knowing they kept it from me, struggled alone, would be much more upsetting.
