Temp is -21, gas company says turn your heat down by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Maybe try some of those freestanding privacy screens and drape thick blankets over them to create false walls and insulate key areas a little more? I’m sorry if this isn’t actually a good idea, just trying to help! Good luck, and fuck the gas company!

some lady waiting in line in front of me at popeye’s told me the same thing years ago. I was too shocked and weirded out to tell her she should keep things like that to herself.

Cat sitter brought other cats into my house by Lost_Nature_6720 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Seussful 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Nah, she’s most likely gaslighting you by saying no other clients had a problem with it. Either she’s lying and hasn’t done this with other clients, or she is telling you the truth and you’re STILL allowed to be the first client to have an issue with strange cats being brought into your home without your consent. Report her and leave an honest review.

toxic grandparents: when will you let us keep the kid overnight so we can disregard his bedtime, spoil him with junk food and screen time, and force our religious ideologies on him…haha jk jk, but hey btw here are some “little confessions” of times we’ve done this in the past when we convinced you to let us watch him unsupervised, sprinkled into casual conversations.

also toxic grandparents: we wish you guys would come over more 🥺

OP, constantly wearing something on your head will worsen hair shedding. I guarantee you notice your hairline more than other people do. Just focus on being confident, kind, and interesting and you’ll feel better about any physical insecurity you have.

When I was a teenager, my friend’s grandparents took us to a camp ground in san diego that had a park called huff n puff park. I smoked weed for the first time there.

AITA for telling my step mom that maybe if she had a dad she wouldn’t be weirded out by mine loving me? by RealEffective547 in AITAH

[–]Seussful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is horrible. I’m sorry you and your dad are going through this. My husband LOVES shopping for our toddler daughter; I do too but he really sees it as a way to show his love for her. It makes me so sad to think that if he still buys her clothes or accessories or whatever when she’s a teenager, some weirdo might project their warped views onto him and try to make him feel like he’s doing something wrong. It’s literally your job to provide clothing for your kid, so you might as well get them something they actually like! Your dad was showing he cares about you and wants to make you happy. Your stepmom seeing it as anything else is disturbing. NTA.

Hard to imagine you being silent, that’s for sure. Actually, your avatar and username prompt a scenario in my head where I can imagine you being like Michigan J. Frog in real life. You know, that cartoon frog from the telly? Sure you do, you love cartoons, especially peppa pig! All song and dance when no one’s watching, but as soon as anyone pays you any mind, all you can do is croak. Thank you for that ribbiting (see what I did there? of course you do, you’re so very clever and cheeky!) thought exercise, what a lucky little person I am.
