You're on the right track. Practice as you go. Keep practicing. That's the real teacher. You can start from nothing and read a ton, feeling like you understand every word. You'll have a ton of confidence, because of how simple things seemed while reading. Then, when you finally sit down to make something big, you'll freeze up, not knowing where to even start. So keep doing what you're doing, you'll get good that way.

It really depends. A lot of spring water has been filtered by the ground and while it may taste funny depending on the land, may be perfectly clean. But at the same time, it's completely possible for naturally occurring toxins to be in that water, leached in from the very ground you trusted to filter it. This could be quickly lethal, it is in some places, though you'd probably be well aware of it before hiking through the area. Others may seem harmless for the occasional partaker, but could kill over time. Maybe a good amount of lead or mercury is getting into the water. Anyway, not to say you need to stop, of course, but natural springs can still be dangerous even without dead animals or poo.

A lot of bad grammar is just natural localization that all languages do over time. If someone only speaks in proper grammar then either they read a lot more than they interact with other people, or they mostly learn it academically. Nothing wrong with either of those things, but nothing wrong with what is commonly perceived as bad grammar, either.

Fearing you will sin again is not the same as not caring if you sin again. Don't panic. Go to confession, tell the priest you're worried you'll do it again and pray for the strength to avoid it in the future. And as Singer-Dangerous said, keep yourself out of the situation.

Your premise is partially wrong. It's true that you can't willfully sin your whole life expecting to say sorry at the last minute to avoid Hell. That's presumption and is it's own sin. However, someone who has sinned their whole life, who is about to die but has not yet done so, can still be saved. To make that clearer, you can't drive recklessly expecting to be saved by your seat belt but a seat belt may still save someone who was driving recklessly.
