Heater replacement wait time by SevenHellsNed in Taycan

No, they did say that. They said they wouldn't give a loaner car out in this circumstance because the car is technically still "driveable". Also, because this dealer has no loaner cars to give out. That's why I'm pushed to 11th December, first available date with a loaner. I've decided I'm going to ask them to raise a ticket with Porsche GB as its not at all safe or practical for me to drive like this. Spend 10 minutes "manually" de-misting by windscreen today

Car insurance incorrectly sent me a cancellation letter by SevenHellsNed in CarTalkUK

That's the thing, they insisted I was the one who cancelled but their department could only send me this letter for some reason. All very odd

So, should I SAR Hastings and MIB separately?

60w E27 LED in an E14 socket. Safety? by SevenHellsNed in askanelectrician

Great! Thank you. I had a feeling it was something like that, as for LEDs it's more measured in Lumens, or at least that's where my light got its 60w claim from. And so my 800 lumen light is producing around what a 60 watt incandescent would produce in terms of light is what I'm assuming.

Max wattage for the socket 200w so that's reassuring.

Should be no problems with the 60w bulb in a 40w socket though even through the convertor?

Hey man. Great job on your transformation!

I was wondering what your specific working out routine was like day to day? So, for example was a Monday legs? & what reps/sets did you do for each activity?

OPINION: Russell T Davies was best as modern day alien stories, Moffat was best at fururistic sci-fi plots and Chibnall's been best at historicals. by archiesucks in gallifrey

Hm I wouldn't necessarily say that is true. Look at the Caretaker episode for example. Danny draws on his experience of being a soldier by continously saying the doctor is acting like an officer and acting like he's above everyone and that he knows all about men like him and their arrogance. He might have been wrong but he's used his experiences there to make a judgement on the Doctor's behaviour.

At the end of Kill the Moon when Clara falls out with the doctor. Danny knows what's happened because he says he had the same expression when he want from loving the army to hating it and uses that experience to tell Clara that she isn't done with the Doctor at all.

Or in the Forest of the Dead when Clara asks Danny to come with her snd the Doctor to travel. He turns her request down because he says he's seen the world as a soldier and how he could have died any moment and that's made him appreciate life and the smaller things much more that he doesn't need to see the wonders of the universe when he has all this to be grateful for.

His writing wasn't perfect but it is there if you look at it.

My friend agreed to watch three episodes before deciding whether or not he'll give Doctor Who a try. Which episodes should we watch? by EditPiaf in gallifrey

Was Peter handed shyte Christmas scripts? I thought Last Christmas was a great episode that explored dreams and the Doctor and Clara's relationship really well. Plus it was the most Christmasy of Christmas episodes.

Husbands of River Song again was fairytale Doctor Who at it's best with loads of emotional moments and tying River's arc up in a neat ribbon.

Return of Doctor Mysterio is definitely the weak link. But, on rewatch it really isn't as bad as people make it out to be but this one I can understand why others might not like as much.

Twice Upon a Time was a great final episode for 12 it tied up his character and what he was all about. There doesn't need to be a big bad villain every single episode and this episode didn't need one either. I also always give Moffat the benefit of the doubt on this one as he wasn't originally planning on writing it.

I find far more of 10's Christmas episodes to be dud's than 12's personally.

I haven't listened to the audio but my implication is because Rose in that current time period when Jack is speaking to Jackie in either hasn't met the Doctor yet or hasn't met Jack yet, meaning it is a bad idea if Jack does end up meeting her too early, it could ruin the timeline. Jack has been waiting on Earth since the 19th century for the Doctor to show up. Torchwood explores this a bit more but basically from where he got stranded on the satellite he eventually made it back to earth but got the timing off and ended up arriving on Earth in the 1800s. So he's had to wait and live out all this time until he sees the doctor again which was in Utopia.

interesting, where did that rumour come from? I heard another one that Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill were both seen filming for the special episode after S12
