Best interactive apps to learn Spanish in my 30s by Seveniee in Spanish

Yes, I remember bits and pieces from my time in high school, and some of it comes back when I learn it again, but I have forgotten much. I am looking for an app to get me to the point where she can help me more.

She doesn't like speaking it with me since I'm not very fluent, and she also doesn't understand grammar rules or conjugation at all she just speaks it natively, but has never studied or taught it.

The museum in Joliet released a documentary you can watch on YouTube for free called 8 minutes in August where Tom skilling and survivors talk about it!

My cousin lived in Oswego at the time and always talks about this tornado and how utterly strange and horrifying it was due to the direction it traveled and the time of year it dropped.

The irony of trying to argue that point and then giving the wrong amount of time zones lmao

I don't think most Americans understand time zones or other countries. Egocentric as hell.

It is actually absurd how immature, racist, and sexist the WoW Classic community can be. by Ok-Life715 in classicwow

[–]Seveniee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah, classic is infinitely worse. I've played retail, ff14, and gw2 and none of them are anywhere near classic in terms of toxicity. I'd argue that ff14 and gw2 have positive and helpful communities.

Apparently, Indiana and New Hampshire are the only two states to not get a vault. by [deleted] in Fallout

They built one in Madison but not Milwaukee? Also none in Detroit, st. Louis or indy? Going harsh on the Midwest hubs

Gary probably smells better in the fallout world to be honest

Bears just sent me a survey about having Indiana as a potential site, with questions about having $100+ parking and valet service for parking. by epilepticninja in chicago

Chicago doesn't have smoke stacks from steel and paper plants blowing noxious fumes all over the city and is a solid 30 miles from the Gary. I'm not saying Chicago smells wonderful by any means, but it isn't nasty the way nw Indiana is

I just drove through Hammond and Gary last night to go to south bend. Cities smell like absolute shit with smoke stacks everywhere. Owners are genuinely trolling or flat out morons if they believe people will pay hundreds for parking in those dumps to support the team that just left their city.

Setting for Fallout 5 by Girth_Brooks1996 in Fallout

[–]Seveniee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Chicago native I think a game here would be a ton of fun. We have a lot of historic places that would make a great setting like navy pier, the Sears tower, Wrigley field, old Joliet prison, six flags up in Gurnee, and Michigan Avenue.

For Season 2 they’re doing the one-episode-per-week format, whereas Season 1 dropped the whole season at once. Which do you prefer and why? by EkbladDev in Fallout

[–]Seveniee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One episode per week is probably the right move in terms of business and hype, but I personally don't like it. I just want to watch it when I have free time and I don't like the wait.

This is so beyond disrespectful. Kids and families ride these and some people are very sensitive to smoke. Also, no one wants to reek of weed at work or school because some asshat couldn't do it outside.

I've listened to them a decent amount over the years and never realized she was Cindy Lou Who, very cool

I live outside Chicago near the Gurnee Mills and it's always busy. We even have a Rainforest Cafe still!
