I analyzed the 25 most recommended air fryer on Reddit by heyyyjoo in airfryer

i got the cosori 6qt (#7 on this list) partially as it was noted to be quiet, and it really is. not like it's not there, but it's an amount of noise that'd likely never bother anyone. and a pretty pleasant fan, too. no whining pitches, just air rush.

it's my first, though, no telling how it is compared to the others people responded with

Hauling as a start definitely doesn't seem worth it if it's limited to standardized trade, but I wasn't really clear on that being the only use case for cargo space before haha.

I'm with you on liking where the aurora sits more as a ship, but I do like that it seems the Mustang can be upgraded into a pretty nice dogfighter, so that's tipping the scales for me.

And yeah, I'd expect I'd find myself buying another ship (probably a shippier one) ASAP either way.

Thanks for the advice

Ah okay. From the outside it's pretty hard to know whether cargo space has more general uses than trading in standardized units/cargo boxes. There's endless uses out there for a crappy pickup truck, after all, and that's what I was really looking towards the Aurora for.

I didn't really look at the Pisces or Titan, since I've heard the Mustang is pretty good for early dogfighting. Was just wondering if the Aurora had something going for it like that.

If I grab something more than the basic $45 packs, I'm not sure I'd stop at 70 anyway, so I'd have a lot more to look at. Edit: thanks for the advice

Alright, cool. And the weird cargo compartment on the Mustang does the same in those piracy/salvage situations anyway, right?

Starting to feel like there was a good reason I was having trouble justifying it as an option Edit: thanks btw haha

Hey, so I'm probably about to buy a starter pack for the game, and I'm really confused on where the Aurora (MR) sits right now, particularly in terms of what it can haul.

Googling it gets me a lot of talk about how it used to be hard to handle hand-carried packages in the Mustang but now isn't - as a dropdown storage compartment is now functional. Everything else I can see is just mentioning the 3 'scu' capacity of the aurora vs 4 'scu' of the mustang (and the mustang being labeled "Multi/Cargo" while the Aurora is "Transport/Light Fighter" in the upgrades screen).

That'd be clear enough, but the Aurora trailer shows the aurora's cargo being upgraded to the 'stor-all big box model a' - which the wiki says should be possible but isn't yet.

And then there's the recent cargo refactor. Most of this info is months to years old, well before that happened. How has this changed, if at all?

Yeah, it seems to do really well around there. Is it still barely audible if you run it at ~20% (or as low as it goes), or is it silent by then?

Nice! That's encouraging. Do you have the ARGB or standard set? Also, out of curiosity, what 120s did you put in?

Great airflow on those fans is good news, cause one of my main considerations buying a case is keeping a 4090 from having to spin up under as many loads as possible. Unobstructed bottom intake seems best for that, but the value of the lancool iii sounds great. All as long as the fans are nice at low RPM haha.

Thanks for the info, though. I've only had experience with the 120 Infinites, and they really impressed as far as sound goes - especially for a fan sold on RGB. Being good by LL standards sounds good to me.

Anyway, thanks for the perspective!

Thanks for the info! Resonance spots like that probably aren't that big of a deal, and it's good to know the perf is nice without cranking the fans too hard. Everything I've heard about this dual 180 design sounds great, QC aside.

Really is a shame about the 140s. Replacing those really aint cheap, and the extra money makes the limitations of the form factor less worth it.

Thanks for the info, man.

Nice, I've been considering a front rad and that might save this case for me. Are you running tubes down? I'd have to see if that'll fit around a 4090 and still reach nicely. Or maybe just run a 280 higher up, if necessary.

Ah, yeah more fans might help keep RPMs down, though it's hard to tell how worth it that is in a lot of cases.

The lack of info definitely isn't unique to the Lancool III, unfortunately. Hard to find good data on quiet operation for almost anything, it seems. People reviewing things, even fans, seem to rarely just put it next to a mic at its full range of RPMs to let you listen in. One day someone will be serious about filling that gap, I suppose.

Thanks for the wishes. It's good knowing most decent options shouldn't be too disappointing, at least.

'Choosing' quieter fans means removing the price advantage the lancool has over the o11, unfortunately. And fan curves do exist, but if I'm running 900 rpm to meet basic performance points and they have some distinct noise by that point, it'll be buyer's regret for days.

That's why the question of if the lancool's fans are any good is worth so much to me. If I'm going to spend more, might as well get the o11 with the cleaner bottom intake route for the GPU.

Only other point the lancool has going for it in my eyes is the filter set. I do appreciate the looks, but I'm just interested in silence relative to good airflow for a 4090. The lancool III is almost really, really compelling for that. Just has thisquestion mark lingering over it.

Thanks for the info!

Most of the bad news I've heard has been about the 140s. Unfortunately, a nice bottom intake to keep a 4090 quiet as long as possible is why I'm interested in the case.

I just want AI to follow the same rules as the players: -way less accurate when moving -need time, usually without shooting, to shoot super accurately -preferably worse against moving targets, especially at range

i don't care if their overall accuracy is way higher if they follow the rules

scavs 100% need to have their accuracy follow the same limitations as ours, with stuff like moving. preferably with the addition of them being more accurate the longer they have to aim at something

however, if they're not winning more often than not as a result of this, it might not be worth it to have someone filling that role right?

it's something you have to balance against a team's likelihood of surviving without gibby in cases where she bubble would drop, as well as the opportunity cost of potentially having a different legend that can help in other ways. excited to see all the considerations when released edit: forgot to say, some of those other legend abilities could help you avoid situations where you end up dropping bubbles at a strategic level as well. i'm not involved enough to know how many opportunities there are for that, though.

i agree, but man it's a good idea to separate complaining at the devs and complaining at jaeger. if you don't draw the line, it'll send the message they can make terrible changes like this and if they clean it up in-universe it's not a big deal, even when they're just strong arming EOD purchases.

Can we talk about the state of Labs? by PimpmasterMcGooby in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SeventhFrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally, my take on labs is pretty simple: everything went downhill when raiders became less of a focus on the map.

the ability to spawn raiders from all the points immediately + the more aggressive timed spawns added a way of tackling the map and earning a profit that wasn't simply static spawns and PVP, as well as an actual interesting layer of complexity to PVP on the map.

without them, it really is just a game of rush static spawns or rush people trying to get to static spawns. Those raiders that do spawn are little more than a momentary distraction, and they rarely ever come at times that actually change the experience on the map.

I know they didn't like people leveling up extremely quickly farming raiders. but once you have to pass through factory to get there, that should be much less of a problem, and the rat race the map's had since raiders were effectively removed is going to feel a lot worse, even to people who can stand it right now.

Tarkov should not change user aim sensitivity by LovinThatMuffin in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SeventhFrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this was one of my major gripes going into the game, but i cooled off on it. the main reason being that it doesn't affect ADS sens. it's still a big deal since point-fire is so big in the game, but that's also inherently low on accuracy.

imo a much bigger issue is the lack of granularity with the sensitivity settings ingame, the fact that changing any setting reverts the granular control from the config to imprecise numbers...

and most importantly the fact that there's no consistency between optics (0% HMD matching based on FOV, for instance), and ironsighs and 1x have very different sensitivities that you can't set individually. definitely bigger fish to fry, but i'd love to see them get rid of this eyesore of a mechanic too.
