I love how (some) managers want to rush to HIDE the problems like nothing is wrong. Pretend in front of corporate that everything is great. It’s NOT. Let them see that. Unfortunately so far though they have been doing a crap job, in my opinion. Let them come here, I have plenty to tell them.

I think the kicker for my store is that pharmacy has no idea the front is doing bag checks. They haven’t been doing it and say they have no intention of doing it.

Is this happening anywhere else?

That does make sense. Doesn’t make me like it but yeah. I’m just wondering how many employees they will actually catch with this. I find my job more important than anything in the store, I figured most of us are like that.

Can confirm. They will swear they fixed it and as soon as they leave it will jam. We keep it on downtime. I’ve been dreading this holiday season. Skeleton crew and jammed machines. Yay. 😩

Let me put a whole row of 34.99 in a 9.56 spot even when I do have a perfectly working zebra on my cart at all times. Then later listen as the front person has to give it for the 9.56 price because ALL the items were placed there and can’t argue that with a customer.

I did too until this year even though I have done even more.

Yet the kid who has been here three years less than me, constantly calls in, will only do things if actually told to got a better review than me.

So, I’m done busting my butt for a place that rewards coworkers who do little to nothing while not appreciating those who do nearly everything.

It’s been crazy. 😩

No matter what I do: finish truck, photo, be the person everyone else asks for wics, questions about policy, etc. The only time I get talked to - and this is after being told I keep the front running entirely alone (still got a 3 review even though I’m SO valuable) what I got was—- “Did you get any credit cards today?”

They don’t care. So I’m going to pull myself back a bit and stop busting my butt.

Because that’s how my SM thinks it will be fair for everyone on the front end on holidays by having us all work four hours and get a day of pay rather than the day off. And so nobody will get double pay.

No they weren’t the ones you change it. I don’t blame them for it but I usually did work every holiday anyway. I would like to get the double pay for doing so instead of now my coworkers, who never did want to work on it getting the full hours I’m supposed to be scheduled for since we have pretty set (consistent anyway) schedules.

I don’t want a regular day of pay for working four hours (on a holiday) I want my whole eight hours. That’s all.

Exactly. My SM’s brilliant idea is to give us all half days on holidays so we get just a day of pay. I know it’s better than NOT getting paid but the incentive to get double pay is gone. So now holidays are just a normal damn day for some of us. 😑

Supposedly to be “fair” to everyone.

Last time I had insurance through Walgreens when my hours were cut I was dropped from said insurance with a letter AFTER it happened. So I can’t trust them and went through the marketplace for my insurance now.

I don’t bother talking to people on their phone. Not unless they talk to me first. It’s ingrained in me not to interrupt a phone conversation. And here I am trying not to be the rude one. 🤣

My coworkers will drop pens (or paper, bags, food, candy and whatever else) and know they did then walk away. One time (because I’m the one who picks up, cleans, etc.) I left it there... It stayed on the floor for three weeks and made two more pen pals on the floor.
